A few months ago I was going through my TV settings and discovered that I had it on the wrong picture setting even though it was called "normal". I switched it to full pixel which lets me see everything I was missing while watching things like YouTube. Unfortunately, when playing games that don't let me set the active screen area, the HUD gets in the way and takes up too much space. Minecraft included. The HUD is so far in the middle of the screen, even with tooltips off, that it's almost impossible to see the bottom part of a map.
There needs to be a way to fit the game to my screen and have the HUD drop to the very bottom if tooltips are off.
When looking down at the map the bottom is completely blocked. I have to angle it up until I can see the part I'm looking for. Making the HUD smaller doesn't change where it is. I wouldn't make it smaller regardless.
