It will never happen as 4j have to pay Microsoft money to but a update out so that would mean they would have to pay more money then they already do for people to test them.

I wonder if that would still be needed now that Microsoft own Minecraft. You'd think they'd wave the update fee in order to get more of the game out there. It's technically theirs really!
Yes this is true they soul don't have to pay but company's have to make money still. I dont know how much they pay I know they pay something to put out updates.altought the could have a deal with Microsoft since they win the console and minecraft. But that's a different story for sony.

This is false. Like he said in his first post "unpaid testers" which do exist. They don't have update fees anymore I believe and even if they did Microsoft owns mine craft now so the company behind it is the ones who own the game so they would be charging themselves.
Long story short I'm a super tester for World of Tanks and you don't get paid. The same could happen for mine craft if they wanted to start a testing program.
somewhat of unpaid testers...
If if they are in the preview program, could we somehow get the chance to test updates for bugs before there released?
Not every update but certain ones that y'all need people to hunt out the bugs?
very doubtful that this would ever happen but possible, many games have done it... (Battlefield 4 as an example)
