Maybe there's already a thread for this, maybe not, I tried searching and found hundreds of results, but none quite what I wanted. Plain and simple, a thread solely to post ideas for new skin ideas.
Personally, after seeing the 343 Guilty Spark skin from the Halo Mashup, with a skin in which the character is naught but a floating head, basically, I would like to see a totally invisible skin. I'm sure it sounds corny, but surely it can't be terribly difficult.
Total invisibility in MC is achieved through the use of Invisibility Potion. To circumvent this through the use of an invisible skin would be game breaking. Therefore, I also do not support this suggestion.
Having a totally transparent skin still wouldn't make you 'invisible' to NPC MOBs, it would only affect encounters with other players, having been an administrator over a served game looking for people who were being problematic, I certainly don't want to have to try and figure out who is hiding their identity by using a transparent skin and causing grief and who isn't. Personally, I am a proponent to having more tools in place to prevent griefing, not the creation of newer and better ways to cause grief to other players.
Seeing as I don't bother with playing Minecraft online, I really have no interest in, or give a care about the woes and worries of hosting online games. If someone is a douche enough to be causing grief in the first place, that's your problem for having such obnoxious friends on Xbox Live. My interest is solely in the novelty of it, and personal amusement.
Well then I sound like a jerk. I'm frankly tired of diluting everything I say so that the meaning or passion of my position is lost on people, just to spare their delicate feelings from speaking to a person who says what they mean, mean what they say, and anything read into it is a product of their own paranoid delusions. I offered the idea, but not so I could be whined at about how it will make hosting online games which can be made Friends Only, harder on the host.
if someone has any real technical reasons it wouldn't work, fine, but leave your drama out of it.

I can appreciate your position and point of view as I too do not engage in online play at all anyway (except when working as a volunteer admin for a local Minecraft promotional game for our downtown Museum thus far, but that hasn't been on the console platform as yet). However, 4J is much more likely to listen to and implement ideas that have good merit and game balance across all types of players and not just to placate players like you and I.
This is a discussions forum, and various users here will provided feedback to any and all suggestions, this is not in an effort to dissuade individuals of their ideas, but rather to provide feedback questions as to the issues that the developers will likely have with an idea in an effort to, through the course of discussion, alter or flesh out an idea more fully to better fit the game and ultimately (hopefully) make the idea better (on the whole for everyone) than it started out as.
IMO, Last_Crayon, misspoke when they said that 'you sound like a jerk', that was clearly their own emotional opinion and the comment wasn't necessary. But if you don't care about other people's opinions other than your own nor other people's play-styles, then perhaps an open public forum is not the ideal place for you to post your opinions.
If you DO want your ideas taken seriously here on these open public forums, then you will suck up the criticism that is given, take it for what it is, and use it to tweak and alter your ideas to make them better overall in the long run.
Technically, I don't see any issues with a transparent skin, it is easy enough to apply from a programming standpoint.
Fair enough... I too may have gotten a little bent out of shape. Working in retail requires me to force and fake a lot more patience with worse people than I naturally have. By the end of a work day, I'm so tired of trying to not 'offend the intelligence' of people I would like to dare them to prove that they have any to offend, I tend to stop holding back.
Important lesson here too, not all those friendly smiles at your local Walmart are genuine. Some of those people are on their last nerve and faking it. So don't be a jerk to them. They have enough to deal with, without customers being difficult.
My apologies if I offended anyone in my prior posts. I am wondering if there's any threads out there for discussing in-game music and the Jukebox.

I can relate, I work in telephone technical support (IT) and there are a lot of people who call up and are openly hostile toward the very people who are answering the phones trying to help them out and make their day a little better by assisting to resolve their technical issues.
I understand customers feeling the need to vent, but taking their frustrations out on the people who are there to help you out seems a bit counter productive to me... but then again... I have yet to have someone call into technical support to tell me that all their stuff works great and to keep up the good work.
I don't know of any specific thread related to music specifically... but unless the suggestion warrants a greater amount of in depth discussion, the Small Suggestions Thread is probably as good a place to post a quick minor suggestion... if the suggestion is game changing, a quick search to see if anyone has already suggested something similar and adding to that thread before starting a new thread is typically advised.
Except the discs don't auto-eject from the Jukebox after they finish playing. It has to be done manually, which would defeat the purpose.
Yeah, I'm not seeing any youtube videos where this has been done successfully, and I'm not in front of MC right now to test it... What if you had a redstone activated hopper below the jukebox to pull the disc out when it isn't powered similar to how is done with an automated furnace?
No luck with that either. ot seems to me a feature that would have to come through changes in the next update. I can't imagine it would be terribly difficult to add a feature that allows to choose between singular playback or continuous.

Not to terribly difficult... just terribly broken in any MP/PvP game.
Well, I'm sure whoever is hosting, can require it not be used, and boot anyone who does, yes?
besides, it doesn't make armor pieces invisible anyway. Properly built defenses, would make some kind of armor an absolute must.

Btw, the skin suggestion thread is like 6 posts from the top of the page.
ps your last post makes you sound like a jerk. Stating ou don't care about the word of others is not how you get them on your side.

Two ideas I had were:
-Make the music discs put into the Jukebox semipermanently change the music that plays only until the disc is actually removed.
-Make it possible to link Jukeboxes together by Redstone or some other means, so that music played in one plays from all the ones linked to it.
Would any of these be considered game-changing?
I wonder if this is possible with using hoppers droppers and redstone as it is....
Except the discs don't auto-eject from the Jukebox after they finish playing. It has to be done manually, which would defeat the purpose.
