no offense that's pretty obvious mc for pc was the first to come out. Pc is beast. Look we are getting mutton from sheep , Rabbits, slime blocks, and the guardian that lives under the sea. Plus for pc there are Mods and plugins for servers.
No ploy - You can't do drop in/drop out splitscreen in PE. To accommodate this, the console editions handle block loading and unloading differently than the PC and PE editions... which means that the world size on the console editions is more limited (particularly so on the Xbox 360 and PS3 which have limited RAM, processing power, and, in the case of some Xbox 360s, no hard drive|).
Also, the Xbox 360 console edition was first released two years ago... and the PC didn't even have many of the features it does today. They have been steadily updating the Xbox 360 edition (although this is occurring more slowly than some would like) and they have promised to keep on updating it in the future... so eventually will will get some of those blocks the PE edition has.
... but if you want to live your life accusing corporations of plotting against you, go ahead. Generally, however, corporations don't have the time to "plot" against their consumers... they're too busy trying to please them while dealing with little realities like 10-year-old console hardware.
Pocket Edition now has the better overworld generation and new blocks (as of yesterday), but it's missing loads of things the 4J version has. Enchanting, The Nether, The End, Potions I think, a number of mobs, food bar, and whatever else I'm forgetting. It doesn't have music and in fact it generally sucks in general on account of being on mobile.
I bought it yesterday to get a nice preview of the new biomes (before console get them in 2019) but it's so awful to control that I doubt I'll manage to walk that far (or really build anything).
That's true. The only thing about pocket edition that makes it better then Xbox is I finite worlds, and the new biomes, as well as a few newer blocks.
I understand that the console editions can't handle infinite worlds and that they can't update straight to where the pc is at, but it's really too bad. My problem is that when you start up a new world with a random seed, you are supposed to have the excitement of not knowing what to expect. You hope to get something cool. That's not something that's good to do on xbox. You could end up with a full snow plains world. Then you never get to experience all the awesome features in 1 game of survival. On infinite worlds, you have the opportunity to go on massive adventures and find all the biomes. You can get all the items possible! It adds so much more to the game instead of a full snowy wasteland that takes about 10 minutes to explore. I'm not bashing on 4j saying it sucks. I know they work hard on it. The point I'm making is that the console editions aren't much fun for me since I'm the type of player who likes to adventure. It's too bad they can't have infinite worlds. When the new biomes make it to consoles, who's to say your even going to spawn in a world that has these biomes? I know that Xbox One and PS4 will have bigger worlds. I'm curious if this is large enough to gurantee you will get the full experience in one world. I don't like leaving my world behind and going to a new one, but I'd have to for everything console edition has to offer. This is why I enjoy pc and pe much more. No offense 4j. Please tell me you understood my point people. Thank you.

Lois: Together we can do anything: face any foe, overcome any obstacle.
Peter: Yeah, climb any mountain, rent any video, dial any phone. And not just our phone, Lois, other people's phones. Decent phones, God-fearing phones, phones that everybody else gave up on, but we knew better because we were a team!
Brian: What the hell are you talking about?
mind telling me how the new biomes will fit in a normal 856x856 world? guess no more large biomes
They could devise a means of allowing the user to select which biomes they want to generate and which ones they would be OK with not having in that particular world. Being able to limit a world to a single biome is not necessarily a bad thing. For example, survival island seeds are basically single-biome worlds that have caught on because they represent a slightly different challenge for playing the game BECAUSE certain items are missing or are in very short supply (e.g. trees and animals). If there were a form of biome selection available, players would not have to rely on those single-biome worlds generating randomly (ie. searching through several seeds to get one through luck). If the player then selects only 1 biome from the list to generate, it would naturally be as large as the world is.
On the Xbox 360, I think people just have to face facts and get away from the mentality that everything for all time has to be found in one world... and start playing theme-specific games in separate worlds (like, say, a winter wonderland theme or a jungle theme, etc.) On the Xbox One, a world that will be over 5,000 blocks on each side will be amply big to accomodate all the biomes and satisfy almost everyone... other than the vocal 1%ers around here who will just NEVER be satisfied by anything on a console.

You see, why do that when you can go on pc and play a world where you can find everything? It's not fun to face those facts and have different survivals for each biome. That's why i stopped playing xbox 360.

Starting a platform war???? This will be my last response on this thread - No singular platform fills the needs and wants of everyone. If you want to play splitscreen (ie. with others viewing the same screen and sitting next to you eating the same snacks, etc.) that is best done on a console. If you want to play REAL survival island where items are truly limited and you can't cheat by just walking farther afield to find more trees, etc. that is best done on the small worlds of the Xbox 360 and PS3. If you want to play on the go, that is best done using the pocket edition. If you want to play with mods, then by all means, play on the PC. If you can't decide what you want and you have money to burn, I guess you buy them on all the platforms... it's your buck.
I am still so happy the Xbox versions will never have infinite worlds or mods and I always will be because it suits my play style. If you want those things, by all means play on PC. I like how the Xbox versions are updated gradually, get features early and will eventually catch up to PC in content. Also, if PC rules Minecraft, why have the console versions outsold PC in 2 years?

Mostly because consoles are simpler. To run Minecraft smoothly, you'd roughly need to spend about as much as you would on a console anyways. It's easier for parents to keep a limit on than a PC. I've had people come in to where I work and buy an Xbox 360 just for Minecraft when they knew full well that it was also on PC just because they could regulate the console more than a PC. The game is also cheaper on the consoles.
There are many factors that lend to why people have bought it nearly as much or more on consoles. When speaking of amount of content, flexibility, the ability to alter the game to your liking, size of worlds, etc, etc, is better on the PC. Consoles are purely more convenient.
You should always check a world out before you play on it, that's just a rule of thumb. And that's why we have seed forums too.
The new biomes can still fit into the game. You would get worlds with some of the biomes, and some without. That's how it's always been. The bonus chest can give you saplings so you can create your own biomes.
And yes, lets avoid comparing the PC to the Xbox. Everyone has their own opinion, and we all know that PC worlds are larger. But we chose to play on the Xbox (Or we weren't able to play on the PC) so that's just the way it is. We all have our own reasons.

All of that makes sense, I'm just far beyond sick of the "PC gaming master race" garbage.
I think it sucks that the xbox is what it is. I've had a lot of fun playing on the xbox, but right now PE is kicking xbox's butt. My kids (6 and 8) build some pretty epic things on the iPad. Getting used to the controls is a learning curve. It does have it's limits though, but despite them, I think it is a better piece of software then xbox. Mind you, the iPad is only an iPad 2 with 16gig. Minecraft even runs on my 2 year old kindle fire. I am certain xbox should be able to do better.
there newest update pretty much added everything the xbox has
1.) The "unlimited worlds" on PE won't work the same way they would on console. Not that consoles should have them in the first place.
2.) The console versions will get those new biomes and blocks when they reach the required version.
3.) There is no "ploy" to get people to upgrade, the Xbox One version will be at TU16 just like 360 when it comes out.
4.) You should get an Xbox One anyway because it's better. The $15 discount for upgrading isn't bad either.
