made an account specifically for this. so hey everyone, here's my issue.
ever since the TU15 update, any world that i have created on my Xbox Live profile (or that anyone else with a profile on the same Xbox), has absolutely no chickens. none. i've searched at least twelve different, randomly generated worlds, but the amount of chickens that weren't spawned via spawn egg was zero.
is this a problem everyone is having, or is this just me? am i just really unlucky? because right now my only source of arrows is skeletons and the occasional villager. it's getting extremely frustrating.
When TU14 dropped quite a few people complained about the lack of chickens and wolves. I noticed chickens were outright rare. They were really hard to find and were not spawning like they should.. After the patch, I have noticed quite a few chickens. I haven't had any trouble finding any since TU15 fixed the spawn rates.
Maybe you've been a little unlucky.. I've had trouble finding cows lately. But I think that might be due being in an extreme hills biome that's next to a jungle. What might be happening in your case could be that you might be exploring looking for them, they spawn and get trapped on a cliff, somewhere in the jungle or anywhere where they can't move around.. The game won't despawn an animal in that situation because it can't move more than 20 blocks. This leads to a heap load of problems when you actually try to find an animal. It's just plain annoying.
Good luck tho.. It might be that they are just trapped somewhere, and the cap prevents the game from spawning more.
i'm noticing you're saying something about a patch. unless the patch installs automatically with the update, i haven't gotten a notification for it yet. where exactly did you download the patch you're talking about?
TU15 came out already. If you played Minecraft online in the last 10 days then u have the patch. Look for chickens on mountains. Thats where most animals get stuck.

also, thank you very much :3
If possible could you go to the Minecraft Main menu - Help and Options - Controls
In the bottom left corner of the screen should be a Version number along the lines of X.X.XXXX.X_DLC
Could you post that number here?.

Speaking of missing chickens. I've just noticed yesterday that I have 4 chickens in what used to be a fairly large chicken farm. I can spawn more in the farm and they are cute little babies and even grow up. As soon as I unload the area, either Nether, End, or reload the game, I come back to 4 chickens.... what is going on with that?
