My dad's been playing the update all morning and hasn't found very many bugs or anything. He did, however, find one. Whenever he enters The End, it lags to high heaven. Is there anyone else who has this? Or is it just us?
4J have posted a thread on the Discussion forum asking players to submit seeds strings that are experiencing this problem; so they are most certainly aware that a problem exists. The reorganization of the forums (which also just happened) today has caused that thread to become separated from the others regarding the update. You may want to pop on over there and submit the seed string you dad has been using.
I've noticed a lighting problem in my world. when mining, Any blocks I remove aren't lit up by nearby light sources. I can place a torch in the newly made tunnel, but when that lights up (doesn't always happen) the same thing occurs as I keep digging.
I was in my friends world after we both updated and there were tons of lighting glitches... I had to place and replace torches over and over... It was a mess.
((damned thing isnt working right but oh well))
@ UpUp_Away95: It seems to be happening with more than one seed though.
@ BloodyPhoenix: Well that's...unique? I guess thats just a special sheep ._.
My friends and I noticed that the lighting bug while tunneling is really bad, almost unplayable at times. I found a fix of sorts, works 60% if the time, place two torches, side by side, knock one off, causes a light update that fixes the problem. Also found that digging two block wide tunnels helped alleviate the problem. I have not been able to try this update out in solo mode, so I don't know if the lighting glitch was made worse by server lag.
thanks for the update however, great steps in the right direction. Nether quartz next?
I know one issue i have run into that isn't so much a glitch then a new feature that wasn't well thought out in creative mode if you go into creative inventory to get new items if you hold down the X button too long everything in your hotbar gets deleted because they added a feature to delete all items in the hotbar and had the bright idea to map it to the X button when they could have used the left trigger instead
