I was searching through the minecraft wiki about things in various later updates and came across this in 1.3.1 which sounds awesome!
made sub-biome type mountains like Desert Hills or Ice Mountains taller
Added large biomes world type, increasing biome sizes immensely[131]
Beaches look closely to what they looked like in Beta 1.7.3 and prior.
Looking at some of the screenshots of the biomes on the wiki, that is awesome! It almost makes it look like a hybrid between the beta terrain and after 1.8. Do you guys hope 4j will implement this? I think its awesome as it will make the world not look as flat and have more variety as far as biomes and sub-biomes.
I can see in this new update we just got that that patches of trees can be found in the plains biomes, and that they did include the :
Biomes are slightly more varied, with differing elevations of land in previously flatter biomes.
in this update, but its very subtle.
Anyways i figured this would be a good topic to discuss and get opinions and i hope they implement this into a future update. I dont know about you guys, but variety is good.
