Twice now I've loaded my world to play and my inventory has been different from when I previously saved and quit. The inventory seems to load in at an earlier state than the world as all the changes to the terrain are there, but broken tools and discarded blocks are back in my inventory. One time I had lost my armour had saved twice since and when I next started the world I had my armour back. I'm playing purely in survival mode and I'm building some huge projects the hard way, I don't like the idea of losing everything to an unstable save process.
Just started playing and my enchanted diamond pick is missing. Are you intentionally doing this to PS3 users or something? You'd think after releasing so many versions you'd be able to program a simple little task like saving your bloody game right!!
Just remember that the Playstation version of Minecraft is still quite new it has only been out for a couple of months, There is expected to be glitches with the game. I have read that keeping items in your chest works so I would try and keep everything in your chest from now on
That's still really pathetic for a game they've already got lots of code for. It's also expected there'll be playtesting done before release. Yeah they can't catch everything before it comes out but with any decent amount of testing, a lot of the current bugs would of been known and fixed.

Maybe they didn't have beta testers they just released it and have us to report the bugs to them. That would seem more efficient having like 2000+ people playing the game and reporting a lot bugs than having 10 people play it and them reporting like 2 bugs a day. Anyways hopefully they fix it in the next update

You need to do quality control on a product before releasing it, not rely on the players to do that for you. That just ends up with you releasing an inferior product and ing everybody off because nothing works properly, there's not even a separate bug report section in the PS3 forum FFS. Why even play when the game is currently so unstable that you don't know if all your work is going to be there next time you load?
