I'm posting my 1st ever map today called "Survival Games - Caveman Style"
Of course, it is a survival games map. I've notices those becoming increasingly popular in Minecraft lately. So I decided to make one. But this one is a little bit different than others that I have played in the past. It all happens within a giant cave system!
Now you might say...well that's stupid, it's way to crammed. But it's not. It's one of those giant cave systems where you can totally get lost. There is ravines, abandoned mine shafts, and tons of hidden chests with lots of goodies to help you on your exhibition. I suggest not going anywhere that's not lit by torchlight. I tried to block off the rest of the cave besides the arena, but I could have missed a few spots. So just note that there won't be any chests in dark, unexplored caves.
If you can, it would probably be helpful to play this map without hostile mobs. But don't play on peaceful! So if you can't turn hostile mobs off with your server, then just play on easy. The cave is light, anyways.
The minimal players is 2, of course. The max I believe is 25. You have to have 1 player be the "Host" though. The start isn't the most advanced Survival Games start in the world, 'cause I'm not very good with red-stone. That's why I recommend having, like, a 2 minute "Grace Period". The start is a little tight, and I don't want everyone just dying off right away.
I included a list of rules in the map itself, incase I missed any in the post. I recommend playing with as many players as you can, because the more players, the more fun it is!
You can change the rules however you want, because I can't enforce them. I would really appreciate it if anyone made a Youtube video on this map. That would be so awesome. I would be sure to "Like" it. Just like any other survival games map, (or most, anyway) you cannot break or place blocks. With the exception of Cobwebs, TNT, and red-stone torches. So it's probably best to not set the game mode to adventure if your playing with friends, just trust that everyone follows the rules.
Please keep in mind that this is the 1st map I have ever posted on the minecraft forums. Don't just comment with complaints, because I know I probably made lots of mistakes on the map. But it's fine if you use "constructive criticism" or helpful suggestions about how to make it better.
I included some screenshots of the map below, and if you DO make a Youtube video on this, post a link in the comments and I'll "like" is and watch it. It would be really great if someone made a video. Anyways, thanks for reading and be sure to try it out!
