Hello everyone! So recently I've been looking for new survival maps to play on 1.10 and my results were that the only real "Good/Big/Long lasting" Survival maps were back in the pre 1.8 Era IE: Sunken island adventure, Skyblock, Castaway island, And many others. So I got an idea. I'm going to create a series of survival maps but I'm wondering what the community would like in a survival map.
Also, it would be GREATLY appreciated if you shared this poll with other people.
Thanks!

Update: I'm going to be adding pictures of my current Survival map I'm working on as time passes for people to see.
I disagree that there have been no good survival maps since 1.7. What has happened since 1.7 is that creators have mixed the genres. You are much less likely to find a very detailed pure survival map, because they are usually mixed with CTM, Adventure, or command blocks. This is because command blocks have become easy to use and add a lot, and in general, you get the biggest audience when you add some story/adventure to the mix.
An example of a purely command-block powered survival map that is very fun is The Alchemist, by the Red Engineer. You should check it out.
As a fellow survival map enthusiast and mapmaker I was wondering what you considered the most fun of the maps you played? I find myself thinking of older maps more fondly as well, but not necessarily because they are better then what's around now, but because of nostalgia and because they were so novel at the time. The first time you see something is always the best.
For this reason original skyblock will always be one of my favorites. Discovering I could do so much with so little was great. But, as many of copiers have discovered since, novelty wears off. Single-Island maps are pretty boring now in my opinion because they've been done so much. What makes me excited is having to discover or deal with completely new things or mechanics which is getting increasingly more difficult these days. But I always try to work something novel like this into the concept of a map a make for this reason. Just a tip.

Honestly my favorite was Castaway Island. Mainly because of the sheer amount of things you could explore. And yeah, seeing it for the first time is definitely always the best.
