It won't work if you don't specify random... change method=fixed to method=random

For those reading this thread- the file placement and format has changed.
Cells are stored as individual numbered images now, and the file tree has changed.
I've been having a devil of a time converting the one I've made. The tool that come with MCPatcher for conversion isn't the greatest. For some reason nothing is tiling properly and all of my images (after conversion) are 20x20 instead of 32x32. 64x seems to work properly for some reason.
UPDATE: still isn't tiling properly, even in older versions. I'm going to try manually unstitching the image. If that STILL doesn't work, then... I don't know. I'll try trimming the image to have fewer tiles in it. Right now it's 10x10 tiles
Actually I misspoke. I forgot that this thread hasn't been update in quite a long time. Honestly half this stuff won't work as written for 1.7 much less 1.8.
You should probably consult the MCPatcher thread and wiki for more up-to-date information.
I've been using Flows HD 128x for a while now, but I've never been satisfied with the normal iron block. It just doesn't work as a building block for me. So I've tried to create my own texture, one that could potentially work much better in builds. While I was at it, I decided to look at connected textures for it.
I've created a sprite, I sliced it up into 48 seperate textures and put them in the folder /resourcepacks/Flows HD 1.8/ctm/iron_block.
In that folder I created a block42.properties containing the following code:
But when I tried it out in Minecraft, it didn't work. I'm using Optifine 1.7.10, one of the latest versions. But I can't figure out for the life of me why it isn't working. It feels like I'm forgetting something, but I don't know what. And yes, of course CTM is turned on in the menu

You have to put your files in ~/ctm, that is /assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/ctm within the resource pack.
Why not? Optifine copies most of it's resource pack features directly from MCPatcher. It makes sense to have a single directory so people don't have to have one set of CTM for Optifine and another for MCPatcher. Just put everything under the original roof and be done with it.

Hopefully someone here can advise me. I am adding new Clay connected textures to my existing pack. These textures include all the new clay colors in the game currently. The issue i am having is a very odd one that i cannot figure out. When i add all the clay textures and properties files to the pack, they work perfectly. But for whatever reason my Grass stops wavering with shaderpacks. I can only add 3 colors, as soon as i add the 4th, no matter which 3 exist the grass stops moving. Wth? lol The properties files use metadata 0-15 to identify which textures to apply, Like i said my textures work great. But no grass movement with anymore than 3 sets (any 3) of clay colors. Using seus shader pack

Sounds like a bug with the shaders mod you're using, not with MCPatcher.
Post you session log. That might provide a better clue as to what's going on, and which mod is truly at fault.

It may be an issue with Optifine or rather the connected textures part of it. By removing Optifine the Grass wavers again so its not the pack. However without optifine i have no connected textures. lol So that could be why. is there any other way of getting connected textures without optifine? If i can do that it will go along way in telling me whether it's optifine or the shader pack

MCPatcher has CTM functionality. Up until 1.8 it was distinctly superior to Optifine's in every way. Right now it's a little... off... but will likely be fixed soon.
Again, though, if you're having technical trouble it's best to post in the relevant mods' threads. Chances are there's nothing that anyone else can do if it's a glitch.

Right inside the /mcpatcher/ folder.
The full pack is /assets/minecraft/mcpatcher/color.properties.
Heyo, I'm curious. I've seen a few servers have several textures located to one item, but it was renamed like Diamond sword, Diamond sword 1, ect.
I was wondering if it's a possibility to set several texture to for example: (276, 276:36, 276:37) something of the sort, and all of them be different textures.
I'm having some trouble getting a sky layer to render. I've got one layer, clouds, with a black background that's working fine, and a new one that I want to put over the top of it, a static set of clouds, that won't show up no matter how much I fiddle with it.
Some details. I want the layer "Clouds Static" (sky4) to appear over the top of "Clouds Day" (sky3). I've tried adding a black background and different blending methods, but none of it is working.
I can't really explain more, so I've uploaded my setup, if anyone can tell me whats wrong I'd appreciate it. Find it here.

For the most part... though the 1.8 version of MCPatcher is still in beta so there's no guarantees yet.

Would alpha blending work (blend=alpha)?
