Hey everyone, I love this texture pack but the 1.11.0 and 1.11.2 updates have caused some significant problems for me. Hopefully someone can help me with these, or at the least I can bring attention to some current issues.
First, does anyone know exactly what I'd need to change so that wood planks have the same texture on the bottom as the top? One of the recent updates put a strange pattern on the underside of connected oak blocks that does not match the other sides.
Secondly, the Connected Textures for Crafting Tables doesn't seem to be working: they are not randomizing any more, and do not change/connect when there are several in a row, like they used to.
Lastly, and perhaps most unusually, it seems that banner colours have changed with the 1.11 update. I'd like to change them back, as the new colours seem washed out and do not match same-coloured wool blocks, but I can't find where they'd be stored. Most notably Blue, Orange, Grey, and Green are very different.
My optifine is up to date and I am not using any other mods.
Arcot, that "strange pattern" is a wooden support that makes ceilings look more interesting and realistic. If you really want to remove that, try to delete the whole ctm\wooden_stuff\aaplanksbottom folder, that should help.

in the 1.11 pack, how come you dont have the quartz texture for pillars set to have the top and bottom pieces similar to the chiseled stone bricks, is that a metadata only thing you have in the 1.7 pack or could it be the standard in the 1.11 pack?

First of all, sorry if this no longer helps you, since it is so late. The problem with the crafting tables is because the folder has an uppercase letter. Rename the folder(s) that the files are in, and it should work again.
Hello everyone! Is this topic alive? I love that resource pack very much! And in 1.12 version we have really really nice colored concrete blocks which could be used to add great textures from Conquest. But here is only 1.11 version for download

I first heard of Conquest from Jamzie's videos. I tried it and instantly loved it. Back then, everyone was using John Smith's texturepack, and it was amazing. It allowed you to build in your favorite style - medieval. But Conquest was so much better with its cool stuff like animated smoke, ropes, chains, fancy CTM glass and iron blocks and so on. It even looked like magic. Like, why this pack can do that others can't? Even the physics of torch smoke looked amazing. The John Smith's pack looked so unserious and cartoony after Conquest.
I remember the times when every new Minecraft update was something great and amazing, something that adds a lot of new possibilities, something that gives BUILDERS more ways to build. That period of great updates started right after Minecraft's release, from version 1.0 or 1.1. For instance, at some point you got the horizontal log block, so you were able to build cool looking wooden supports. Or a cobblestone wall, which also adds a lot to building. Even the bad looking tripwire hook adds a lot, because builders learned how to use that useless item.
How about the hay block? People were editing texture packs to add the hay block that they needed in their builds long before the "real" hay block was added into the actual game. So when it was finally added, oh my god, you were able to build the thatched roofs! The thatched roofs, can you imagine that? And nothing beats the Conquest's thatched roofs.
As I said, that time of great additions into the game started after Minecraft's release and it lasted for quite a long time. And, to my opinion, it ended with the version 1.7. I think at some point Mojang stopped to add new cool things for builders, they preferred to add tons of useless junk instead.
But builders didn't care. You know why? Because every single month you got tons and tons of cool new stuff with every new Conquest version. I think that Conquest updates replaced the actual Minecraft's updates. They became more important. You don't wait for Minecraft's updates anymore, you wait for Conquest updates. Like, why wait for another pink or purple weird looking brick block in Minecraft which you won't ever use in your building when there's a Conquest update with like 5 new types of stone which you will use for sure.
This might sound weird, but these days I consider Minecraft as a mod or as an engine to run Conquest, haha. I know there are a lot of people who can not imagine Minecraft without Conquest anymore. They once fell in love with those wood framed "tudor" blocks, and they just can't live without thousands of Conquest textures. I am one of them.
Also. I still keep an old version of Conquest which is 4.0 Dark (remember the good old "Light" and "Dark" days?) for nostalgia's sake. Comparing it to the current Conquest versions, I can see that the difference is huge, which means Conquest had come a long way, like now it's so much better than it was a few years ago. And if it was the best texturepack for Minecraft back then, now it's like... überbest.
Monster, man, you should be proud. Thousands of people still playing this game not because of Mojang, but because of you. Danke schön for make this all happen! This is priceless.
I realize that you're probably busy updating the texture pack for 1.13, but I was wondering if you could update the mod support when you finish with that. Most of the (honestly, few) mods you support are for older versions of minecraft. Many of them have updated versions or succesors in 1.10+ (Better Than Wolves --> Better With Mods for example) and there are plenty of mods that I would like to see supported, such as PrimalCore, Animania, or UndergroundBiomes (although retexturing 24 different types of stone blocks would be prettey tedious). That being said, I realize that you probably have other things to do but I think that extending the mod support or allowing others to submit addons for mods would increase the attraction by quite a bit (just look at Sphax), especially since this is such an incredible texture pack.

Those grey leaves are caused by Optifine.

What Biome are you in? Cause trapdoors changes after what biome they are in.
You can fix that by useing Worldedit/ or metacycler mod
Then you can click on the trapdoor with a blazerod and change its biome.
If you can use this //set "block:metaid"

How Conquest changed Minecraft.
I first heard of Conquest from Jamzie's videos. I tried it and instantly loved it. Back then, everyone was using John Smith's texturepack, and it was amazing. It allowed you to build in your favorite style - medieval. But Conquest was so much better with its cool stuff like animated smoke, ropes, chains, fancy CTM glass and iron blocks and so on. It even looked like magic. Like, why this pack can do that others can't? Even the physics of torch smoke looked amazing. The John Smith's pack looked so unserious and cartoony after Conquest.
I remember the times when every new Minecraft update was something great and amazing, something that adds a lot of new possibilities, something that gives BUILDERS more ways to build. That period of great updates started right after Minecraft's release, from version 1.0 or 1.1. For instance, at some point you got the horizontal log block, so you were able to build cool looking wooden supports. Or a cobblestone wall, which also adds a lot to building. Even the bad looking tripwire hook adds a lot, because builders learned how to use that useless item.
How about the hay block? People were editing texture packs to add the hay block that they needed in their builds long before the "real" hay block was added into the actual game. So when it was finally added, oh my god, you were able to build the thatched roofs! The thatched roofs, can you imagine that? And nothing beats the Conquest's thatched roofs.
As I said, that time of great additions into the game started after Minecraft's release and it lasted for quite a long time. And, to my opinion, it ended with the version 1.7. I think at some point Mojang stopped to add new cool things for builders, they preferred to add tons of useless junk instead.
But builders didn't care. You know why? Because every single month you got tons and tons of cool new stuff with every new Conquest version. I think that Conquest updates replaced the actual Minecraft's updates. They became more important. You don't wait for Minecraft's updates anymore, you wait for Conquest updates. Like, why wait for another pink or purple weird looking brick block in Minecraft which you won't ever use in your building when there's a Conquest update with like 5 new types of stone which you will use for sure.
This might sound weird, but these days I consider Minecraft as a mod or as an engine to run Conquest, haha. I know there are a lot of people who can not imagine Minecraft without Conquest anymore. They once fell in love with those wood framed "tudor" blocks, and they just can't live without thousands of Conquest textures. I am one of them.
Also. I still keep an old version of Conquest which is 4.0 Dark (remember the good old "Light" and "Dark" days?) for nostalgia's sake. Comparing it to the current Conquest versions, I can see that the difference is huge, which means Conquest had come a long way, like now it's so much better than it was a few years ago. And if it was the best texturepack for Minecraft back then, now it's like... überbest.
Monster, man, you should be proud. Thousands of people still playing this game not because of Mojang, but because of you. Danke schön for make this all happen! This is priceless.

I would love if mod support was added for these two
I realize that you're probably busy updating the texture pack for 1.13, but I was wondering if you could update the mod support when you finish with that. Most of the (honestly, few) mods you support are for older versions of minecraft. Many of them have updated versions or succesors in 1.10+ (Better Than Wolves --> Better With Mods for example) and there are plenty of mods that I would like to see supported, such as PrimalCore, Animania, or UndergroundBiomes (although retexturing 24 different types of stone blocks would be prettey tedious). That being said, I realize that you probably have other things to do but I think that extending the mod support or allowing others to submit addons for mods would increase the attraction by quite a bit (just look at Sphax), especially since this is such an incredible texture pack.

I have serious bug with connection between textures with any of shaders. It looks like this (look at the screenshots)
Config - AMD R7 260X with latest drivers, Xeon X5570, 8 GB Ram, Minecraft 1.12.2 with forge and litemod (for minimap and optifine (the newest also))
How I can fix this problem?
