I don't know if it's just me but my hail bails are a greyish color when I plant them but then some turn into the yellowish proper color. Most stay grey though. Also I'm not good with commands. Could you post the command format you use to get your custom blocks please.
I'm just learning about this texture pack. Is it basically John Smith but with biome-specific textures added?
It was inspired by John Smith, yes. But I think monsterfish has already redone all textures.
And it contains not only biome-specific textures but also meta-data texture that are accessible using commands/plugins/mods.
you get this error because /i and /give do not work in vanilla, they cant spawn non-existant blocks. Aka meta deta. you would need a 3rd party program to do it like world edit, single player commands on meta cycler on bukkit.
yea they don't exist anymore, and therefor commands can no longer generate them. This is due to how minecraft ids have changed from a numerical system to a system in which each block has its own unique name and value, and numbers no longer define each block.
I'm using 1.7.2 (sorry, should have said this in the first post) with the Worldedit Wrapper (since bukkit is gone and I didn't get it before hand) I can get the blocks using the commands '/hpos1' 'hpos2' then 'replace *whatever block* *meta data*' I got **** to do and can't continue to do it like that, I'll go made and it'll take me years to build anything good.
the '/cycler' works on a one or two things, but that's it.
Can anyone help with a possible noob question? Some TP's work fine with Biomes O Plenty's colored grass, like FaerieLight. Some, like this one, just show the default green grass. Copying files from one to another has not seemed to get it showing right - is there a simple edit I can make somewhere to get the colored grass working in this pack (my favorite one?)
So, I have been working on a palate room. This pretty much contains all blocks and their respective metadata versions, to pick and go. I'm on the finishing touches now, but if anyone would have interest I can upload it when I am done.
Alright so bad news than good news. I couldn't find the original work I had done and I think I may have lost it when my last laptop melted. So I started again and managed to even get the look of flowing lava on the monsters. Here are a couple screenshots to keep you busy till I can test to make sure there are no animation issues and than upload it. (Obviously you are missing out on the animated lava in the screens, but it does look pretty solid so far, I am thinking of doing similar animation in other mob mod support)
You will notice the one in the back is escaping the room I created and proceeding to burn down my test server mine.
Sorry man, I let that fall off my radar. I will send a link for what I have and you can use that till I take another pass at it to add more distinctive features.
Hey - loving the textures still! My team is still using it as our project main, but I find that each update makes the pack a bit slower each time (things keep getting added). Is there a way to possibly optimize the textures? Or... some way to make things faster for some of my members?
It maybe best to see if your computer isn't getting full of dust, as this will lower framerates and cause slower loading as your computer starts to realise it can't cool itself efficiently, resulting in either higher temperatures or slower speeds/ lower textures.
I would recommend finding a old version of the pack and the newest version and compare framerates of the two. If the newest packs do make the pack run slower the only thing I can suggest is removing unused textures from the pack, reducing its size.
Hey - thanks for the reply! I will try and compare the two packs. For myself, it isn't too much of a problem, just other members in my group have older computers. As for how clean my computer is, I'm extremely OCD about it. All good there! Thanks for the suggestion about the comparison though!
I tried using this resource pack on 1.8.1 mcpatcher and this is what I got:

No. No. No-no-no. It can not be. It should not be. It... meh, all right, tell me it will be added again in future, ah?
So, how's the progress on this going?
