It appears you may be able to run MCAnimator Beta 1.0 for Windows on Mac and Linux by opening the .zip and then changing MCAnimator.exe to MCAnimator.jar. Keywords are "may" and "appears" (runs, the GUI works, it renders and seems to accept inputs, but I have not tried anything else)
Does NOT work on Retina Macs. Well, it opens but still shows the blank screen.

Tested on Ubuntu using JRE 1.7_71.
Thanks robotguy4 for your critical tests, have you tried running it on Linux and making a simple model? We can release a dedicated Linux version if you can confirm this
Also we are still testing on Retinas: the retina screens need to double all the sizes of GUIs, but the blank screen is a so weird bug (we expected that the GUI was in a wrong position, but not a completely blank screen). We should check if the software is atleast running correctly (even with the messed interface). Can we send you a test version for testing?
Hey Axel can you help me with the export function? I created a Model, animated it, loaded a texture file and now i want to export my model, My problem is, that McAnimator creates a folder with the name of the model and a BLANK Java file
I don´t know what i am doing wrong.
And an other bug!
After you animated your model, you can´t edit the animation again, the animation is grey.
So please fix this and help me, because i love the idea of this programm ;D
Does your project have a name? Which options you chose in the export window?
My projects name is 1, so the folder, the options are: Export to Desktop, Minecraft Version 1.7.10, Export Type Standart (Complete), This Model is for Creature/Mob/Animal. So what am i doing wrong?
Oh, and if i create an animation for example "walk", the animation in the animation folder is called 1 and not walk.
Damn! I messed up with some exporting files when I last edited them. Expect the fix within 24 hours max!
Guys, I think you should allow it to support textures with higher resolution. (Ex: I have a model with only 64x64 resolution, yet I've created a texture more than that.)

If you have done a model with HD textures using Techne, it's actually a glitch you are using in that software. We are going to officially implement HD textures because many asked for them.
This program looks fantastic! I used Techne back in the day a lot, but I never was able to find out how to put the mobs in game. Still wont I guess, but hey, I'll be able to animate them!

Ahah yes, animations are now doable directly from the MCAnimator. This normally speeds things up a lot
You're welcome, expect many new features in the upcoming releases

At least you made model animating much easier and better.

Still doing some tests, next upcoming version will surely be for Macs too!
Meanwhile, we have started writing the tutorials:
http://www.dd-studios.net/index.php/mcanimator-tutorials/9-mcanimator-tutorials-basic/12-creating-a-minecraft-project
Nope, but you cannot image how many tests we are doing for fixing the Mac issue, expect it really soon
You need to call the right methods from your mods code. We will write a more explained tutorial in these next days
