The reason the outer layer of the skin isn't showing is because I set the hat layers to a wireframe (if it wasn't a wireframe, the rig would've looked like this http://i.imgur.com/VjN67ZT.png) However, the outer layers WILL show in the rendered view. Try looking at the rig in rendered view, I think your skin has the regular torso black by default since the jacket will cover it anyway. Click the dropdown to the right of "pose mode" in the toolbar above the timeline and select "rendered"
Oh it looks like it should in rendered view, thanks for the explanation. The standard view had me really confused, but it makes sense its done that way
Actually something occured to me as i was thinking about this rig. When i place my arms by my sides, my elbows are facing outwards, so if i bend my arms they bend outwards, not forwards like this rig. Is that intentional?

(Also you left the cursor on your image there)
I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I'll go ahead and answer with yes.
Also, I'll use my amazing photoshop skills to get rid of the cursor
Well its in context with how the human body naturally moves. When im messing with this rig, i try to imagine what kinf of way my own body would move in the pose im trying to set up, but my arms bend outwards, not backwards like this rig, so i have to spin the arms 90 degrees, making the side arm texture now the "front" arm texture (which isnt really the biggest thing in the world but its annoying if your trying to make it look realistic)
And beautiful job on your photoshop, i cant even tell the difference
GASP. HE'S FINALLY RELEASED THE UPDATE AFTER LIKE 20 YEARS
Demo Animation:
Hey, everyone, I finally released the update! The rig's facials have been overhauled 'n stuff, changes to the fingers, too. Full changelog below!
Everything added:
-Facial rig overhaul
-Quick controller for easy lip animation
-Eyebrows now have their own controllers
-Changes to how the eyes work
-Fixed all the N-gons (hopefully)
-Teeth now have several styles for you to choose from (right click one of the sets of teeth and go to the shapekeys) -Dynamic mouth controllers have been improved, they're smoother now, and mix with eachother better
-Shapekeys for the M and F sound (rotate the quick controller)
-Pupils are beveled so it works nice with the new toon shader it uses
-Facial bones' custom shapes have changed
-Structure of the face mesh is improved to be less glitchy now
-Guy's skin for the 1.8 variants have been improved
-Fixed 99.999992% of the texture issues that may or may not have existed
-Removed the pixelator node group (someone mentioned that turning off the interpolation was a simple click in the materials panel, I'm an idiot)
-Fingers have been changed to look more like the classic fingers, but they aren't freakishly long (was my main concern in the first place)
-Removed Herobrine
1.2.1:
-Fixed the head and hat not being parented to the head bone in the full_faceless rig
-Added a readme/FAQ with the rig download
this will be the last update to the default_faceless, full, and full_faceless rigs. I think they're at the point to where they don't need much more updating, so unless something is highly requested/broken, I'll no longer update them, only the default variant will be updated further.
I am currently having an issue with the rig, where even if I have no outer layer, it still appears to be fully black. Any idea what the cause is?
That's just the way cycles renders transparent textures in textured view sadly... if you want to hide the blackness, right click one of the outer layers and go to the objects tab in the properties window. Under "Display" look for "maximum draw type" and change the dropdown to wireframe.

If the skin still looks wrong, let me know.

Enjoy!
I like what youve done with the update to this rig, although theres one thing that doesnt seem to mesh up with the rig.
The head (on the full faceless rig) doesnt appear to be parented to anything, along with the hat wireframe
My god, you're right! I'll fix it right away!
Well this is what i made while you were fixing that
(Warning. Obscenities below)

I really like this! I love doing things in Blender, but I suck at using it, so this is really helpful. Thanks!
-Munk20
so i downloaded it and all i got were all these random files no actual program does it not work for mac?
No, the program known as blender works on both mac and windows. Go to blender.org to download the program
So....
I made something....
That's awesome, guy!
Thanks!
Actually I kinda wanna see you in the next contest(Their contest is monthly). That will be awesome.
I think I might actually do this
There's no camera. And when I try to add it in it's so frustrating getting the right spot >:(
