I think it should be a fairly large time to recover from dying as a vampire, mostly to balance issues. If you literally can't kill it, you should at least have a good chance to run away if you "defeat" it.

No, I just realllly don't like that idea and both sides should be balanced you are completely wrong I even help you vampires on the server and yet you want to be the supreme we should be able to kill you also I quote this from another server's wiki and this is 100% not mine all credit goes to massivecraft so this is not a crime. So remember this is not mine.

In other bloodlines, it will cause them to burst into flames. This is caused by the body temperature increasing more rapidly in vampires, along with increased keratin in the skin. Dead vampires will be affected by sunlight just like living ones.
Weakness to Holy Water: Holy water is water blessed at an altar of light and typically bottled in fragile vials in case they need to be quickly shattered. Holy water raises the body heat of a vampire, similar to sun on a Qul'Ess. Small amounts will cause discomfort and reddening, while larger amounts and prolonged exposure will begin to catch fire when in contact with the infected (similar to acid). Ingesting holy water will instantaneously burn the vampire from the inside out, and it does not lose its effect over time. When mixed with other liquids, it does become diluted. A vampire's body can reject the diluted holy water by sweating it out, but this is a painful, long lasting and exhausting experience that can take weeks to complete. Otherwise, a vampire might expel the diluted holy water in the same way they’d expel food.

1.Vampire rely don't need extra abilaties at this moment
2. Holy water should be a thing maybe some potion thats brewed in holy brewing stand or somthing simular, but water itself shouldn't affect
the vampire because its regular water thats not blessed.
3. Also i think wooden items should do at least 1.5* the damage they do now and a stick should be able to be blessed to do more damage
and maybe a blindnes and burn effect to the vampire

We have actually talked about this for a while and it's an idea that I quite liked. The simple fact seems to be no one want them. But yeah you're right...in the folklore one of it's weaknesses is silver. Along with running water, saw dust and a bunch of other odd things. Random fact: In Arabic mythology they believed that vampires were awake during the day and slept at night (diurnal). This is because the day for them was much more dangerous than the night because that's when raiders were around and the fear of daytime spread into their myths.
I actually came here to comment because I have a few ideas for the hunter. I have heard people talking about giving them an alchemy skill tree. The funny thing is I was actually interested in alchemy when I was a little younger. Seems strange now though. But I actually know quite a bit about it.
For starters when most people hear alchemy. Most people think it means a now discredited means of turning lead into gold. But this is a very limited view of something which is more complicated than that. I will talk more about this in future because it really needs a separate post dedicated to it.
Another thing I would like to add is a fairy circle. It's is actually a real thing which occurs in nature (it's like a circle of mushrooms) , but there is a lot of mythology behind it too. Perhaps maybe the hunter could created one and it would stop vamps from going in to a certain place.

That's probobly in the guide book if you need one do book + garlic/fang = guide. But also after you craft it right click an injection chair with it which is found in villages inside of a vampire hunter trainer's house.

Will you be bringing back the structure that was in the Vampire Biome in 1.7.10? Only asking because a few of my friends and I recently switched over to 1.10.2 for a set of mods, and we hadn't run into one since switching over.

So mabye we need to get some rules about that then start it. Because there havn't been much people on lately.
ok. castlevania is one of the best-known examples of a vampire game. I mean, castlevania's dracula is kinda one of the most baddass vampires ever. I was hoping this mod could create a branch focused solely on being a vampire like dracula from castlevania. i mean... vampirism never had any DIRECT or RANGED attacks.
introducing the new playable race: Dracula vampires!
what is special about this version of the vampire is, instead of injecting yourself with blood, you have to become a vessal for dracula's spirit. right-clicking yourself with a new item called "soul of dracula" will instantly change your appearence (give you glowing red eyes). the advantage of being a dracula vampire is that you are now a baddass in magical abilities. being dracula introduces an mp bar, which drains as you use the powers (can be made infinite if in creative mode) be warned: your path is linear and your weakness to holy weapons and sunlight is doubled. now for the powers. (in order of obtaining, yes the level cap should be raised)
form of bat - like the bat form from the main mod, but larger, and black with crimson eyes. level 2 gives the bat the ability to spit weak fireballs.
teleportation - the ability to disappear in a flash of light and reappear a certain distance away. useful for the new spells.
hellfire - shoot out 3-5 fireballs at once, they spread out and cover a decent range, but they are rather weak.
form of mist - slip past foes in a form of invincibilty. level 2 introduces a poisonous mist that does steady damage to foes so long as you cover them. (drains constantly/ toggleable.)
flame piller - erect a flame pillar at a destination of your choosing, the fire lingers for sometime, and on;ly one may be used once. enemies caught here will be trapped until the fire pillar wears off.
form of wolf - transform into a wolf and run at speeds faster than your humanoid form. level 2 enables you to damage foes on contact while sprinting in this form
dark inferno - a single, strong fireball that deals great damage to foes.
demonic meggado - the final and ultimate power of dracula. summon a masive explosion that decimates within a 20 block radius. leaving an entire area as a crater. this is extremely expensive, and has a high cooldown rate. but is potentially a highly destructive spell. fun for griefers.
in order to level, on top of draining blood you must also gather souls from fallen enemies. any mob you kill, whether friend or foe will have a chance of dropping their soul, which acts as exp. gaining enough souls on top of blood will allow you to reach higher levels of power.

Oh max,will there ever be a form of necromancy involved with vampirism? Like perhaps its own branch in the skill tree?I think having it beside the other perks would help balance it in the way that you cant be a powerful vampire AND have strong undead.

This is only a mod and i know why you say harming should heal but i don't think so because you are player and it only works on some undead mobs.
