Is this mod discontinued or are you still updating? If so you might consider making it for at least 1.7.10 as the forge for 1.7.2 doesn't work with java 8 and sometimes doesn't work in general.
Like seriously I want to use this mod very much but I can't play modded 1.7.2 on my computer, so please update!
Huna, Mask of Concealment: Grants the user the Invisibility potion effect; effect extends to the mask but not any other worn armor.
Rau, Mask of Translation: ???
Mahiki, Mask of Illusion: Maybe make yourself look like a certain mob, similar to the Morph mod?
Komau, Mask of Mind Control: Have a way to tame non-undead non-robotic non-boss mobs similar to wolf taming. The tamed mob will fight for you similarly to a tamed wolf. You can only have one creature tamed in this way and the creature becomes wild when the mask is deactivated or if another creature is tamed with this mask. Stronger masks will allow you to tame more than one creature at a time in this way.
Ruru, Mask of Night Vision: Grants the user the Night Vision potion effect. More powerful versions grant nearby players the Night Vision potion effect as well.
Matatu, Mask of Telekinesis: Functions similarly to the Gravity Gun mod.
Inika Masks:
Calix, Mask of Fate: Grants the user the potion effects of Speed I, Jump Boost I, and Haste I. (considering the name of the mask, it might seem strange to grant these effects but consider what the mask does in the story)
Elda, Mask of Detection: Lets the user see invisible entities, as well as players using an Iden (below).
Suletu, Mask of Telepathy: ???
Sanok, Mask of Accuracy: Aimbot.
Kadin, Mask of Flight: Lets the user fly similarly to the Creative mode flight ability (might be a tad OP)
Iden, Mask of Spirit: Lets the user "freecam" similarly to how it's done in most hacked clients. The "freecam" can be seen by players with an active Elda.
Mahri Masks:
Arthron, Mask of Sonar: Grants the user a radar ability similarly to how it's done in most hacked clients. Can see players using a Huna or Volitak but can't see Iden freecams.
Faxon, Mask of Kindred: ???
Zatth, Mask of Summoning: Summons a random, non-boss creature to the immediate area. The Zatth user has no control over what mob is summoned, and cannot control the summoned creature.
Garai, Mask of Gravity: ??? (can't think of any effect that wouldn't be either useless or game-breaking, and not in the game balance way)
Volitak, Mask of Stealth: Grants the user the Invisibility potion effect. This effect extends to armor being worn. Requires a Huna to craft.
Tryna, Mask of Reanimation: Summons a small number of non-boss undead creatures to fight for the user. The summoned creatures act similarly to tamed wolves.
Makuta Masks:
Jutlin, Mask of Corruption: Grants the user the Haste V. Tools (excluding weapons) use no durability while this mask is active. Blocks broken while this mask is active will drop no item when broken.
Avsa, Mask of Hunger: Gives the user the Life Steal ability, similar to how it acts in the Tinkers' Construct mod.
Felnas, Mask of Disruption: Right-click on an entity with an empty hand to affect it with the Reconstitute at Random Kanoka power.
Mohtrek, Mask of Time Duplication: ??? (the way it works in the story makes it difficult to work with in this game)
Shelek, Mask of Silence: User acts as a mobile Sound Muffler (specifically thinking of the Extra Utilities incarnation, but is in several mods)
Crast, Mask of Repulsion: Right-click with an empty hand to shoot a large, invisible projectile. Any entity hit with this projectile is knocked back quite far.
Mask of Scavenging: When the user kills a non-undead non-robotic mob or another player, he or she is granted the Instant Heal potion effect.
Kraahkan, Mask of Shadows: Right-click with an empty hand to shoot Shadow Bolts, which function like ghast fireballs except they don't destroy blocks or light fires. Hostile mobs do not attack the user unless the user attacks that mob first.
Miscellaneous Masks:
Pehkui, Mask of Diminishment: Shrinks the user while active similarly to the shrinking potion from the Gulliver mod.
Kualsi, Mask of Quick Travel: Right-click with an empty hand to shoot an Ender Pearl without consuming an Ender Pearl.
Mask of Enlargement: While active, grows the user to giant size similarly to the growth potion from the Gulliver mod. (originally Mask of Growth in the story, but Enlargement sounds more powerful)
Rode, Mask of Truth: Identical to Kanohi Elda.
Olmak, Mask of Dimensional Gateways: ???
Olisi, Mask of Alternate Futures: Inflicts upon a player of the user's choosing the Insanity debuff, which makes the affected player hear noises and see mobs that aren't there.
Kiril, Mask of Regeneration: Gives the user a passive Regeneration I effect.
I hope this helps you regarding ideas for the other masks! I'm sorry that I couldn't think up any effects for the Rau, Suletu, Faxon, Garai, Mohtrek, or Olmak, but the mechanics of those masks in the Bionicle story don't translate well to a game. I'm not a coder, so I have no idea of the difficulty involved in implementing all of this. (sorry!)
I love this mod so much, and it's a shame to see it taper off. I'd love for somebody to take over, hell I'd take it myself but I'm still learning modding...
Well, I'm sure everyone is going to like this. I'm currently working on updating NuiCraft to 1.8.9!!!!! :DDD
Yes, I'm in college, but I've found that I do in fact have time to work on this!
(RIP Kirby mod + Mo' Drinks probably)
Also, I've watched a lot of modded MC and played a bunch myself since I last worked on NuiCraft, and I now know what kinds of things would be useful to have when playing with other mods! So far, I've pretty much overhauled the Mask Forge, and I think you'll all love it!
Here's the new GUI as a sneak peek!
Additionally, I've learned tons about programming, so expect a much more stable NuiCraft from now on!
There's still a lot to be done before I can release the 1.8.9 version, and quite a few things will be temporarily removed, but it's well on its way!

WHOOOAAAH! Super excited to see you are back! Would it be possible to have a Turaga or Kanoha of Knowledge that opens up an in-game mod wiki/info book?

That probably won't be made for a while, but yes I do have that planned
For the next update I would probably fix some textures such as a head appearing in your stomach or items seeming too big, as of adding in new things I would probably add in the bohrok or maybe a different mob such as a matoran or rahi and possibly a new biome.

Yep, i'll fix the mask thing being in your stomach, it seems its only for simple models, (mata akaku and VNOG ignika are fine)
As for the items looking big, I don't see that as too much of a problem for now. I'll have to update the model files for them in 1.9 anyways so I'm just going to leave it for now.
And mobs will probably come 2 updates from now, I'm working with someone on those right now.
Thanks for the feedback!

I really like the mask models and everything, the new Creative Disk mechanic works nicely, it's nice to see all those blocks in-game now too! Two things though, is the mask forge supposed to turn three protodermis ingots into a heatstone ore block? Also, can you currently activate mask powers or are those still WIP?

Interestingly enough, the Creative Disc mechanic will become a GUI for a disc creator at some point. So it'll be even better!
About the recipe: Yes, I have that recipe in there as a test to be sure recipes are working. I'll actually become a disc in the future.
And mask powers for now are removed, but that was just so I could get this release out sooner. Hopefully *some of* those will be back by the next update.
Also, here's a sneak peek into what I've been working on with someone:

It'll be neat to see what you come up with for disks/kanoha, a good first mask to work on adding powers back would probably be the Pakari, Kaukau, or the Kakama. All having Minecraft potion effect counterparts already. =)
Also, ooh rannas? (or was it rana, or something else, aw well :P) They look super awesome!

Horray! Version 0.8.1 is finally out! A lot of hard work has been put into this one! Go get it!
PMC Page will be updated soon along with a full change list in the update logs.
The update runs great! I really like how you did the Miru and such, nice to see the Kakama is affecting the player with speed at a faster rate than it was ages ago, I remember when the effect used to wear off before it gave it back again.
Great too see the simple-model masks actually on the player's head again, looks great!
Might be interesting if the Mask of X-Ray Vision gave all nearby entities that glowing effect from 1.9 when you update. Unless you've got something else up your sleeve, I barely remember some other way it used to work, just barely...
Oh, like when it used to glitch the area around you so you could see through the ground? XD I probably won't be doing that again.
Also, the 1.9 glowing effect will probably be used for another mask in the future, so I'm still brainstorming just how the akaku will work.
I know your busy and working on a big update but can you at least update it to 1.7.10

It would be cool to see an update when Minecraft 1.9 comes out, the combat mechanics would really add to the feel (imo)!
Suggestions for new Kanohi:
Metru Masks:

This mod brings back so much nostalgia because I loved bionicle when I was younger.

Here's another sneak peek showing off another feature I'm adding:
Now you'll be able to dye masks so that you can get that perfect Metru-Red you've always wanted!
Update released!! Let me know of any bugs you find!
