this mod looks awesome. I hope to be able to include it in a adventure map I am working on, I will be testing it out as i work the bugs out of the rest of the pack.
oh boy more work has to be done. A) in multi-player either you see the other player on the ground while player is driving the ship (does not show player on ship) or you see the ship running around with no player (cannot see other player). when dismounting player is set up very high and lands on the boat (splat your dead!!! lol lol )
I received the same issue. If you still need the log I can retest or see if I have the old logs. The console was spamming add parent.
Edit: Also, would it be possible to add an option to disable block damage on the cannons (like the Balkon Weapon's Mod)? We want to use the cannons against entities, including ships but prevent people destroying docks (accidentally).
love just making ships with this mod trying to get the fastest yet good looking ship fastest so far being 4.2...has anyone reached any faster?

The broken ship I had fixed itself on a later restart. Is there a way to silence the logging. Even the INFO level spams the console, so a Silent version or Null would be great if it exists. Thanks!

They're tough, and they heal fast. Possibly too tough and too fast. This is new damage / healing code that goes along with the cannon, so it's a first whack at the numbers and will have to be tweaked.
I just tested the Hoy by click-spamming with a +7 diamond sword (8 damage per whack). The Hoy starts with 500 health, and heals at 1pt every 8 ticks. It took me 63 whacks to kill it. I tried the same test with my fists, it took me 500 hits to kill it.
Actually, it looks like my healing code is broken, will need to look into that.
In addition to the significant durability, I'm having difficulty actually getting the punt to drop when I break it in the 1.7.10 test version. I've tried a pick, an axe, a sword, no dice. ... Haven't tried fists, because I'm concerned I might hurt myself trying to click that fast.
That is... weird. Do you have any mods that are messing with air blocks...? Weather, maybe?

Thankyou for the mod, thanks a lot! It's a fine mod, and if my opinion matters, I would say that carrying pets/animals is the best of the future elements. Either that or the hoy cabin. Either way, can't wait for new updates and implementations.
Has anyone used the 1.7.10 version with Terrafirmacraft? I loved the two together in an earlier version. In the 1.7.10 beta though, it seems that Small Boats does not see the TFC water as a liquid. (It's a different block than vanilla water block.) The boats are stuck as if on land.
Does anyone know how to edit some configuration to allow the boats to float in another block?

I played around a little with the test version and didn't notice any real bugs.

I think by now you've perfected most of the flaws the mod has but wanted to make sure IF the hoy cannons (which are awesome!!) are added, if there can be a config option to disable block destruction. I always end up not using mods I like because they don't think about dedicated servers and what griefers with the right tools might do.
I know the intention was to make people walk/stand on the hoy while another stears but, this has always been a bit buggy and maybe you can make it similar to the whitehall? for example, 6 seats instead of whitehalls 4. This way having a (big and fancy) hoy is something you would prefer over a whitehall, which at the moment has more perks than the hoy.
Also, this is probably difficult to implement as all your previous versions also did not have this but, the boats miss water particles when reaching their max speed. (See screenshots).
And a quick note, the deployed cannons don't have a retract button (yet).
These are only suggestions and not meant to criticise your mod as I do enjoy what you've managed to put together ^^.
