Go to the Github -> Press "Download Zip" on the right side -> unzip somewhere on your PC -> open a command line and navigate to the folder where the build.gradle file is located -> type "gradlew build" if you are using windows and you are done. After compiling you find the mod in the build/libs folder

How should I navigate? I tried doing C:\Users\Student>Desktop>The-Betweenlands-master but it didn't work.
It is important to be able not only to compile code but also to understand the process of doing so. Just as with modding.... Cut and Paste is not the way. Learn the process and you will truly be amazed at Mod, the Modder, Minecraft, Java, your computer and You!
Also Terminal on mac is your friend. You should learn about it to unlock the potential in your mac. Just learn the basics so you don't go and bork something.
Otherwise patience I have followed this from the beginning of the First WIP.... It will Be worth the wait....
private static final void registerEntity(int id, Class<? extends EntityLiving> entityClass, String name, int eggBackgroundColor, int eggForegroundColor)
{
EntityRegistry.registerGlobalEntityID(entityClass, name, EntityRegistry.findGlobalUniqueEntityId(), eggBackgroundColor, eggForegroundColor);
SpawnEggs.registerSpawnEgg(entityClass, name, id, eggBackgroundColor, eggForegroundColor);
}
Your mods will be more compatible wit other mods. I have a couple in the works and came across this among my compliance issues with other peoples mods.
If you make the change your Entities will be more accessible. Just a thought.

Just a reminder, if you grabbed the mod from out Github for testing (or know anything about the mod for that matter), then please help out by contributing to our official wiki. Thanks!

Note:
If you make this change in the code. in BLEntityRegistry.java
// {
// EntityRegistry.registerModEntity(entityClass, name, id, TheBetweenlands.instance, 256, 1, true);
// }
private static final void registerEntity(int id, Class<? extends EntityLiving> entityClass, String name, int eggBackgroundColor, int eggForegroundColor)
{
EntityRegistry.registerGlobalEntityID(entityClass, name, EntityRegistry.findGlobalUniqueEntityId(), eggBackgroundColor, eggForegroundColor);
SpawnEggs.registerSpawnEgg(entityClass, name, id, eggBackgroundColor, eggForegroundColor);
}

EDIT: oh and nice code. very orderly and logical.
