Basically I want new mobs, capture methods, transport methods, guns, magic and imprisonment methods. We start with one mob, finish all the stuff related to it and then move on to the next. Does that make sense?

what do you mean by capture methods? Do you mean stuff like poke-balls?

Lastly, could you elaborate on imprisonment.
Capture methods being technology, arcane magics, or a combination of them both to put the hostile mob in a non-hostile state and allowing them to be lead in some manner of transportation.
As for imprisonment, think SCP but with much fewer creatures.
There are addons for mods like thaumalurgy for thaumcraft. What I am saying is that you could make this an addon for magic, tech, etc. and add what isn't in those mods as well as bridging them together with your own code and assets.

I see where you are coming from, however I would prefer to not have t rely on others for updates, support, etc if possible.

I see what you mean, relying on other mods to update, while others who don't update, could be a problem. What you're saying is completely understandable. What is your plan for making this mod (coding & idea development)?

Hahahahah, sorry I forgot about this actually my bad. Anyway what my plan to do from what I think you mean.
I plan on coming up with a mob idea, and a way to subdue it. Then figuring out a way to imprison it within the prison realm. I will make the model of the monster and any of the special things we need. I can also texture, just as not as well

What is a prison realm, is it like a new dimension? I know a universal method if you are doing dimensions with a litteral prison, for keeping mobs in cells -- setters and getters that you refer to in other classes, simple, but effective. For example, I used this for a throwable that contained a colored entity on impact, methods:

The mod sounds like it would be easier if it were a plugin for multiple mods at once with multiple compatibilities.
