And that attitude is the problem with parts of this community.
So are these "permissions" which attempt to stop people from enjoying free mods.
To the best of my knowledge nothing has or will happen legally and trying to suggest so is either dishonest or ignorant.
Now whether its "the right thing to follow permissions" is another unreleated question (permissions =/= licensees)

With any modpack you download you have the ability to add or remove mods to your heart's content. They can play with the mod, that goes without question. When a person creates a mod it is their property, their work, and if they specifically say "Don't distribute my work without my written permission" (This would be a custom license they have made) you should follow that. Does it seem a little silly? Sure, but that is how it works.

Curse PremiumSome mods on here are copywritten works and if you just redistribute them without making sure you have permission to you could get in trouble.

Curse PremiumNo, it would be much easier to just make it yourself by following that tutorial I linked in my first post. It works for 1.6 and 1.7.
