Having to use Diorite instead of normal vanilla stone is a good thing.
First, this only affects you if you have Diorite in your world -- if you don't, it doesn't take effect.
Second, this just has an affect on early-game, wood-tech. Basically, instead of "Punch 3 wood, make a pick, punch dirt to stone, mine three stone, replace the pick-axe, make everything out of cheap stone", you now have to spend a little more time at the wood level, until you find some diorite. That extends the wood tool level from a few seconds to about 2 minutes.
After that? There's no real difference. If you want to use polished diorite for builds, it does make that a little harder to get, but not by much.
Now: Tamed animals breeding cheaply: LOL. Thank you for the updated version.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

I see the intent, but why just diorite?
I mean, yeah, it does have a higher density than the other two (granite and andesite), but not by that much, from what I can see. Granite still holds up fairly close and andesite is a bit far, but not too far as far as I can tell.
Note: The Dwarf Fortress Wiki may not be a reputable or accurate source on information concerning geology.
EDIT: I guess it may be a bit pointless to just increase the likelyhood of getting usable stone threefold (I guess I could find some mod that lets me add extra recipes and do it myself), so... meh.
At least my doubts have been put to rest, and I'm good with that.
It happened at one point and I thought about it later and said, "I had a reason, but I forgot what it was."

It seems OreFlowers has crashed my game.
I attempted removing it, but as you know, OreFlowers is a dependency of Harder Ores. so of course that didn't work.
It may be another mod causing it, but I'm not tech-savvy in any sense, so I wouldn't know. I just think it's OreFlowers because the crash logs say OreFlowers.
Also, very slightly related question: why is OreFlowers a dependency of Harder Ores and not the other way around?
I forget why diorite and not the other two.
I'd say to just leave it at "diorite has a higher density" and call that a day.
Can you link me to the thread for ICSE? Darkhax has done something odd.

I know how to google and that's all I found too. The reason I asked you is that you obviously have the mod installed, which means you have it, and I don't know where you found it.

I'll uninstall Wawla and see if that does the trick.
EDIT: It did. It was Wawla all along.
And that let me actually find the source code on his github. I don't see anything that he's doing wrong though. But I reported the error to him. It's something I can fix on my end, but it's ostensibly a problem he needs to fix anyway (as my mod might not be the only place this occurs).

(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?
Hi Draco18s I'm using your harder wildlife and nature overhaul but it have slight issue where the grass blocks and grasses (vanilla grasses) turned white/pale green really quickly.
I just created the world, stand around for 5 - 10 seconds suddenly I noticed the grasses around me turned white and the farthest grasses also turning too.
Tried looking at the config and I didn't see anything related to it (I think) maybe I missed something or misunderstood one of the config's functions I don't know. Maybe can you explained what just happened?
If I remove harder wildlife it stopped the withering grasses.
I'm planning to use only your season feature and some other small tweak from it.

Try disabling seasons and see if that has anything to do with it (and play with the fixed temp/rainfall/date settings).
That is: if seasons are doing something weird, it's due to a cross-mod interaction, but if turning it off doesn't help, then it's not involving my code at all.

For mods that alter rendering I think Optifine, Psychedelicraft (I don't know if this is count), Better Foliage? Not really sure what mods that alters rendering except optifine I guess.

I tried turning off season but it still there. Which config might be causing this? It is spreading quite fast though, is it even the mod's feature?

Thank you.
Then it's not my mod at all. That's something else entirely.
Try playing with Nature Overhaul's Grass Options.

You're right, it is confusing. I wonder if it's an affect of Nature Overhaul as a result of Wildlife's Seasons. That is: my seasons makes things colder/dryer/hotter/wetter as the date changes, and I wonder if that causes the grass to die via Nature Overhaul mechanics.
No idea if that's it, though.

Hmm maybe I'll blindly try and tinker the config for both mod and see what's causing that.
Or do you have better suggestions on what configs should I change regardless?

I'm not familiar with Nature Overhaul, but I did see some grass-death related stuff in their config file.

I'd say to just leave it at "diorite has a higher density" and call that a day.
Can you link me to the thread for ICSE? Darkhax has done something odd.
I got a github repository, but it's empty.
https://github.com/Darkhax-Minecraft/ICSE
Alternatively, I got the uh... international Conference of Software Engineering.
http://www.icse-conferences.org/
EDIT: Found Darkhax's profile. No sign of ICSE.
http://www.minecraftforum.net/members/Darkhax
I know how to google and that's all I found too. The reason I asked you is that you obviously have the mod installed, which means you have it, and I don't know where you found it.
Oh thank you so much. I'm glad it was an easy fix
Only mod from Darkhax I have is Wawla.
Maybe he merged it with ICSE or something.
I'll uninstall Wawla and see if that does the trick.
EDIT: It did. It was Wawla all along.
Sure thing. It was mostly a dumb thing on my part when I refactored how the aging rate value was used.
And that let me actually find the source code on his github. I don't see anything that he's doing wrong though. But I reported the error to him. It's something I can fix on my end, but it's ostensibly a problem he needs to fix anyway (as my mod might not be the only place this occurs).
I'm pretty sure that Et Futurum makes all three (Andesite, Granite, Diorite) the same frequency. Not sure about the black one.

Thank you.
... Version 1.7.10? Default configs? ...
What mods do you have that play with rendering?

Try disabling seasons and see if that has anything to do with it (and play with the fixed temp/rainfall/date settings).
That is: if seasons are doing something weird, it's due to a cross-mod interaction, but if turning it off doesn't help, then it's not involving my code at all.
Yes 1.7.10, I forgot to mentioned the minecraft version sorry.
I altered some of the configs, here is Nature Overhaul's Config and here is Harder Wildlife's Config.
The weird thing is when I disable your mod, recreate the same world the white grass thing stopped.
When I enable your mod again, rejoin the same world it will start dying again.
Sorry if I'm bothering you, It's also confusing for me.
