This mod adds various blocks and items related to Portal 2 to the game, and is designed to work with iChun's existing PortalGun mod. I intend this mod for map makers who like to make Portal-themed maps with iChun's mod.
As you can see in the image above, I have added numerous elements that were missing from iChun's function-based mod, like blocks to build test chambers with, both types of button, and doors, among other things.
FEATURES
Floor Button
The floor button functions basically the same as a default pressure plate. More importantly, it works with the cubes from the PortalGun mod. It makes the same sound that it does in Portal 2 when it's pressed.
Pedestal Button
The pedestal button emits redstone power when it's pressed for a few seconds, similar to the vanilla buttons. Currently, it does not make exactly the same sound as it does in Portal 2, but that will be fixed once I actually locate the sound's file.
Indicator Lights
The indicator lights in this mod work exactly the same as redstone, except that they can be placed on anything - even themselves! However, I could not yet get them to work going on walls yet (they will render on the walls, but won't be powered), so for now, just try to avoid doing that. I hope to fix that error as soon as possible. Another thing - unlike normal redstone,an indicator light's signal does not need to be updated every 15 blocks with a repeater. Indicator lights can stretch on forever.
White Panels
White panels are portalable, meaning you can place portals on them. There are several variants. I plan to add even more in the future.
Black Panels
Black panels are not portalable. You cannot place portals from the PortalGun mod onto these blocks. As a result, they are considered "translucent" by the game, and allow light to pass through them. Handy if you want to make invisible light sources.
Light Panels
Light panels emit light (duh!) and come in 2 variants: white and black, each with two sub-variants : left-aligned and right-aligned. Each sub-variant has two blocks: top and bottom. That's a total of eight blocks, for those who don't math well (not you, I'm sure).
Music Discs
Just for fun, I decided to add a couple music discs. There are five, and are all made by Valve and found in the game: intro, apple, chambertop, finale, and Abadu Gaben (it didn't have a name in the files so I gave it one). This last disc is quite peculiar, and it can hardly be described as music. You'll just have to see for yourself what I mean.
Portal Doors
These doors make the same sound as they do in Portal 2. They also are intended to be double doors, and when one gets opened, the other does, too. I hope to make them appear to slide open in the future.
Exposed Frames
There are some walls in Portal 2 that have panels that fell off, exposing the frame underneath. I wanted to do this in Minecraft, so thus: frames!
There are two variants: yellow background (good for black walls) and dark grey variant (good for white walls).
Hey! Nice mod, I am using it in a few of my maps. In the mean time, fix the button sound! BTW I found it online here you go, just click this (its the website theportalwiki.net, on there is the audio file). Also, can you add in the un-portable block from the first game? I can live with ripping the assets and retexturing the large wall panel (i have no use for it in my maps) to get the old black panel from P1 but it would be a lot more convenient if you just added in the old block. Everything else is great! I might make 32x textures with CS2 (my cs6 licence expired a while ago :P) and send them! Oh and my map is here, its still W.I.P. Uses HEAVY amount of items from your BEAUTIFUL AND AWESOME mod like the buttons (tons), some indicator lights which speaking of, you don't have to but could they be renamed antline for continuity (that is what its called in the portal 2 level editor). Just make it go up walls! I will totally use this mod in a few more maps and maybe even an f-stop esque portal prelude-prelude! Good luck updating it and dont discontinue the mod!!! Its too good to be let go of! Also fix the doors please

Yeah the doors need to be fixed. People are able to open and close them without a connection to redstone or antline. That's how people can CHEAT the tests! It's like using wooden doors or something! That's weak! I think it should be fixed so only people in creative mode can open or close it without a connection (for tweaking purposes).

Luc, you also need to fix the block hardness. I can break a block from your mod with one hit in survival mode! I recommend you tweak the block hardness to bedrock so people in survival mode can't break out of the testchambers!
Please downgrade this to 1.6.4 because i have a texturepack for 1.6.4 with some kind of portal 2 mods but i still need the mechanical blocks to make the map look portal 2 alive :/
Hi, big fan of this mod, making a portal 1 recreationg, I have changed some textures! But I was wondering if you could add emancipation grills,and portal 1 textures for the white panel and black. Appart from that I hope you consider this and cant wait to see the next update , and maybe add everything into 1.7.10, because portal gun 1.8hasnt been released for a while. cheers!

He's probably one of those plebs who just post once and ditch the place to never post again. -I hate it when people do that, especially mod developers!- If that's the case then the chances of you being able to take over the mod look slim.

The only obstacle there is that you have to have permission from the owner before you can use the files, and because the owner is probably a 'post once and never again' kind of pleb, you'll most probably will never get permission from him.
Update: Oh wait! I just checked his profile and it said he was last active Jun 29, 2017! Good thing I did that, we don't need to plan mutiny on his mod! All we need to do is get his attention on this thread and he should respond! He could be working on the mod, and if not, hopefully he'll retire it to you! Then you can add all the blocks and stuff in his to-do list and keep the mod alive!

Perhaps use melissis doors to get the doors to work properly also check out Project Red they have redstone wires that go up walls
