Can you add in pets that don't eat like say a skeleton pet, and the nether mods shouldn't have a food system them being a bit....dead, also the prices of food for some pets is a bit too much like the pingots sonar it costing diamond nuggets and that seems expensive diamonds being hard to find, another horrible example would be nothing else, but I would like if the legendary pets didn't have a good requirement them being rare, and maybe the pets can be upgraded to be better with less food cost, more efficiency and more fun, also 2 suggestions for pets
1. Ender dragon: eats end stone
2. Pets from mods, or you could make a modded inventory pets mod
Skeletons are dead already, and they can't really eat, they are a bit holey, and undead pets aren't well food proof either and I don't see that as op in this manner as it's just like a sort of buff, I have seen many op mods so this is slightly up if you bring it to ores pawn terms, I would like to see a modded inventory pets mod, that would be epic

1. Ender dragon: eats end stone
2. Pets from mods, or you could make a modded inventory pets mod
Pets that don't eat would have to either simply disapear after a bit, or be next to useless. Otherwise, they'd be too powerful. Also, pingots costing diamond nuggets makes sense, as they also make diamond hunting easier, and really are a bit overpowered even this way.
1. A lot of people have suggested ender dragon pets, but I like your suggestion best. Eating end stone and not doing anything at all is more than balanced, it's useless!
2. Already been suggested, and PC said he'd add it. Read back a few pages before posting :\
I was wondering if you would consider adding the following items-
Maybe an extra few inventory slots, alongside the armor slots in your inventory, where you could place a pet. They would work the same there as in your hotbar, but the 4 extra slots would allow you extra inventory space...
Also, a feeding bag would be great, maybe a bag like the Extra Utilities Bag of Holding, that you can keep the required food in, the pets could eat straight out of it, yet it would again free up more inventory space.
These additions would be useful for users playing with large modpacks, who require a lot of inventory and specifically hotbar space.
Thanks a lot for considering these,
TheMysticalPug
Good ideas TheMysticalPug!
Yeah, now that our mod is in more modpacks, we're seeing some scaling pains. We love the 'Feed Bag' idea. And we'll experiment with the extra slots (just for pets). Goota make sure we don't mess / work well with the other slot mods (baubles, etc).
LOL OMG. I just wanna know if yall that are crying op op opness, way to op and such...Yall realize that just adding a mod already makes your game op...unless it actually makes it harder? So technically its already oped...hell having an inventory pet that does say crafting table is already actually op. Just wanted to point that out to yall...cuse yall starting to sound like a bunch of chickens going cluck cluck, but instead your going op op. Everyone has a right to an opinion and such...dont need to be so mean.
That being said, there is a pet already that speeds you up. Invisibility sounds nice.
@PC, I see you have crafting disables, but nothing to disable the pets you dont want allowed in game. Could you possibly add that? This way if someone feels a pet is too oped, they could just disable it.
For the time being tho, yall COULD adjust this mod to spawn in dungeons more or less often to make it easyer or harder to find. You could also disable certain dungeons so that finding them is harder...in the end at least it would be much harder to get, and more rewarding once you find it.
Config also allows for having pets required to eat or not eat...So...theres that.
But really...dont need to shoot peoples ideas down so hard and make them feel like crap for suggesting. And while yes, there is an invisibility potion, but theres also a potion for speed, underwater breathing, night vision, ect. If yall dont like an idea such as abilities that come with pets that can also be potions...then just use the mod. All the mod does is offer a different way of using these abilities and such. Dont got to be so mean to someone cuse they have other idea.
I got the idea of a trophee pet were you can put like some valuable things = all dyes, all music disks, dragon egg beacon nether star, all ores well the player can choose

Yes, the ability to turn off individual pets completely is going into the update

Whoa. It's okay for me to think something's overpowered. Everyone has the right to an opinion and such... You don't need to be so mean.
If you really think that all mods are overpowered, I'm surprised you're even on a mods forum at all. Game balance means a huge amount to a mod, unless it's poorly designed or some kind of hack client. The crafting table inventory pet, if you had looked at it before calling it overpowered, is in no way overpowered. It's easy to carry around a crafting table and place it down, use it, and pick it up again. The crafting table pet, slightly speeds up this process, requiring regular feeding and both gold and diamond to craft, or found in fairly rare dungeons. Either way you get it, the crafting table pet may not even be an improvement over the vannilla crafting table. Your point is just plain silly, and clearly shows you have no idea what you are talking about, beyond being antagonistic to people with an actual intrest in the mod's progression toward more usable releases. Potentially permanent invisiblity is a lot more difficult to balance, as we can immagine what this thing could do to pvp. I'm not saying that an invisibility pet can't happen, but between the lack of a clear mob for it to represent, and the sheer power it can hold, it's beyond the realm of the balanced. Unless it has particles like an invisibility potion. Then it's pretty much useless. Your nasty approach to keeping people from working to improve the mod is frankly sad, and you seriously need to touch up on your trolling skills if you want to actually annoy people with this sort of thing. It was a good attempt, the chicken analogy helped you out a lot, definately keep with that if you want to keep messing with people, but ultimately, this whole section of your post is aggressory and holds no merit. Go abuse 4chan or something. And as for other people who want to anger people with senseless comments, just don't. Seriously. It's that easy. I'm glad that this is over with, and hope sincerely that the rest of this forum can be polite and topical without this sort of thing interrupting it. Good day.
Not that I have a particular investment in the debate, but why not sun and moon pets? They'd fit in fine with the black hole and cloud pets, give the moon pet the ability to grant you invisibility at night and reduce gravity and the sun pet the ability to see invisible entities and an aura that sets zombies and skeletons on fire.

this is a cool idea never thought of that wish they add it

Dee_Twenty we like the way you think. You may see something you like in the next update (hoping for under two weeks from now).
I have no ideas to contribute because I love this mod already and my favorite mob is already in the mod, so I'm completely content~ (Though I am liking the ideas people are having)
All I have is a question that may or may not have been answered already:
When is this mod gonna update to 1.8?
I'm alright with waiting, but one of the three mods (yeah, I only use three mods, I'm lame, but they're all I need) I use has an 1.8 version now, so I'm just curious as to when I can update my Forge completely to 1.8 c:
Good idea and maybe invisible even for the mobs. (easy in 1.8 but not in 1.7.10)

Ender dragon: eats end stone - TOO MUCH OPNESS
Well im trying to say that the most difficult thing in making a mod is balancing because it would litterrally kill the gameplay
Someone already said some stuff about adding EnderDragon to PC (PurpliciousCow) and They still think about it.
If you don't trust me you can see the previous replies.
~A nice dude.

I wonder if there's a potion that can already do that?
"plz make a pet that in no way fits with any of the themes of the mod's pets so far that also has an ability that is already available in the mod"
"But make it more powerful, because that's balanced, and here's an arbitrary number that might be reffering to potion effects but I have no idea"

Hey! XerainGaming have done an awesome mod video for your mod!
function Jacky(Logic) { return Truth; }
Just found out Inventory Pets will also be in Crundee Craft 3.0, Ssundee and Crainer's modpack. Good stuff!

Good one. We'd made armor that did this in our first mod, so it's possible in 1.7.10. We're going to bounce this one around.

plz make a space pet that makes your iventory bigger and a heart that gives u regenaration and adds health plz reply
Just a thought for the Jukebox pet, would it be possible to add an inventory to it similar to what the chest pets have that can only store records?
