Bizarre! That usually only happens when Minecraft can't find the images. Are the animated item icons only missing when you look at the Inventory Pets tab, or are they also missing when you have them in your inventory?
If they're always missing, would recommend you re-install the latest version (download from the main post on Page 1).

That's so awesome to see such a mod being played and used in a lot of popular modpacks and popular youtubers i'm really glad that this mod made so much progress with such awesome modders

Update from Inventory Pet dev headquarters: We will be making the Black Hole abilities toggle-able in the update, so you can turn it on and off with Right Click. The pet will have certain amount of active time available (e.g., 3 minutes), so you can choose how to spend it. Once the 3 minute pool has been used up, the pet will of course get hungry and need to eat. It's a pretty sweet feature, so thank you Jspy1 again for the suggestion.
By the way, this toggle feature will also apply to 3 other new pets. (Hmmm... I wonder what these new pets do...?!!?!? And if we told you one of them is even better than Black Hole, would you even believe us?)

I use 1.7.10 (Modded), so when I comment that I like a 1.8 mod, I will comment to downgrade to 1.7.10. I support no pics, no clicks. Suggestions that I think that are the best deserves a banner!
It is almost time to say goodbye to 1.7.10 because of the recent surge of big 1.9 mods.
Why MCreator sucks: jcm2606's file (doesn't open a new tab) He allows/welcomes anyone to link the file, so I put it here in my signature for people to know how MCreator functions. I thank jcm2606 (he's awesome) for creating the document/file and I'm just here to spread the word.
I hear of the new update and it sounds awesome. But the reason I am here is for a fix to the Cloud pet zapping away blocks that it hits. I could see it ruining stuff with a misplaced zap.

Well, it's kinda the point. Some of the pets are a bit... unstable.
But, we're adding the ability to choose to turn off pets individually in the Config file in the update. Of course, the Ghast and the Creeper are much more destructive than the Cloud.

When you post a mod: "No pics no clicks" and "MCreator = bad ~99% of the time"
Don't forget to read the crashlog before reporting the crash. It might tell you why it's crashing.
