For the tribal hunters it'd be cool if there was a hunter with a special kind of blowdart that when hit by a dart would make you paralyzed. Then they'd do some sort of sacrifice thing that you need to escape somehow.

I was planning on adding blowdarts, yeah. No paralysis and sacrificing ritual, though. That would be really annoying if you got "captured" every time they hit you.
--I'm the dreamer not the modder, whether this/upcoming suggestions are reasonable or even possible is not what is focused on, coming up with something is--
Ok so after the first suggestion I made, I thought I'd try and go for a "bigger" creature. As cool as a small little face eating maw (second to last post on page 83, for those who have not seen it) can be, people are drawn to things of "epic proportion". So taking this to another level I present another probably too wild idea and most likely not possible to make... The Cave
So what it isn't is a massive entity, rather a bunch of smaller entities that make it seem like a larger entity. What I mean by this is... well let me explain the idea first. An adventurer walks into a bar cave, he is rather deep as he was searching for diamonds like any other adventurer ever, but he spots an odd mushroom (or some sort of other indicator, note: extremely rare...) and so of course he wants to harvest something he has never seen. That's his mistake, as the cave he was standing in roars to life... (another way I suppose this can be done, is a cave biome that "cleanses" after it's been beaten similar to the cursed woods idea... but that's only if this would be a better way of coding it...) ANYWAY small story aside the "creature" known as The Cave would consist of several entities and wouldn't change the caves structure, these entities being... (all temporary names... names are not my strong suit)
Optic Rocks, eyes about the size of the block that will open up along the walls & even the ceiling of the cave, this is the character's main way of damaging The Cave as a whole (no you can't mine the cave... it doesn't work that way...) and die in a single hit. If the character reaches them too late, they will close up, becoming invincible (or they can "die" and spawn elsewhere to seem like the eyes are moving...? Just an idea). These thing's eyelids would appear stone, while the eye itself would seem fleshy in nature. As cool as a cave that can now see you, what fun would it be if it can't fight back right?
Cavernous Maws would appear in a similar fashion to the Optic Rocks, spawning on every surface whatever direction it faces. These "dudes" would spit out the remains of previous adventurers (skeletons, maybe even zombies) and extend towards the player if they get near, crashing into the opposite wall, if dodged properly. These would appear fully flesh, and be partly submerged in the walls/floor/ceiling. Hitting these things long enough will cause them to retreat back into the wall, and spawn more of the next mob:
Stalagmite Tendril (See what I mean? Names =/= my thing) I see these dudes being similar to thaumcrafts tainticals, but like the rest able to hang from any surface. This is The Cave's most direct way of killing the player, but even so they cannot move, so if you can avoid the mobs that are spawned and dodge the maws that are trying to gnaw on your face then you shouldn't have a problem. Oh except for the fact that the cave will spawn these underneath where you're standing... so don't stand still!
"Disclaimer"
- I could go on with ideas of more things The Cave can do, but it isn't needed, everything that's been said can be dropped for something else, I just needed to get the idea as a whole out.
- I can see the maws spawning some sort of worm (silverfish could even work) just to swarm the player, it would been an alternate maw or replace the original completely... or just stick with the original idk... I just spewing out ideas... (see what I did there...)
- Maybe instead of a mushroom, there is already an Optic Rock, that can be hit to spawn it, that way it actually makes sense? xD
- I feel tongues gotta be a thing, every scary giant island/cave thing needs a tongue to rek players... maybe whip them towards the mouths?
- Anything to make it more epic, it's gotta be epic... maybe it starts flooding the place with acid if you attempt to exit without killing it?
Just realized I never went over drops in the last suggestion... nor this one... how about... Stone? JK... but no I have no idea what a cave would drop.

You're using Java 6 while you need to be using at least 7.
You're using Java 6 while you need to be using at least 7.
I just updated to the latest version. It seems to run everywhere but Minecraft. When I tried to open it again, it crashed, with the exact same log, and when I scrolled down, it said I had Java 6, despite me updating. I closed and reopened Minecraft, I used the verification app on the website, which confirmed I had the right version, I checked my settings, yet it still doesn't work! Any ideas internet?

Maybe. I'm not so excited about doing a hive mob with a queen and workers despite the fact that a lot of people seem to want it.
Yep! I did most of the animations.
Yeah, pretty much. Sorry.
I was planning on adding blowdarts, yeah. No paralysis and sacrificing ritual, though. That would be really annoying if you got "captured" every time they hit you.
--I'm the dreamer not the modder, whether this/upcoming suggestions are reasonable or even possible is not what is focused on, coming up with something is--
So I'll make a suggestion, most of the mobs currently are fairly big, while what I'm going to suggest is rather small, I tried to make it as interesting as possible, but by doing so I'm not even sure it would fit anymore... Anyway... It's probably about the size of a block (a little larger than a player's head (explained later)), it's a small fuzzy purple maw. Yes just a small fluffy mouth, with little HP, 5 hearts maybe?
These things would spawn rarely in caves and they traverse only on the ceiling (now I know this sounds similar to the crystal dudes, and that isn't intended). The reason for this is that they would crawl directly above the player, giving off minor hints as to that fact: such as lava looking particles dripping out of their mouth and a quiet paint that would require total silence, and when the player is to look up they would drop onto the poor adventurer's head. While attached there can be no direct interaction with it, the only way to prevent it from slowing draining both hunger & health would be to: get in water, these critters cannot swim and will hop right off, jump impaling them into the roof of the cave, igniting one's person will also ignite the creature causing it to shrivel away hopefully before the player does, or in the case of multiplayer; have an ally beat the creature off damaging it and you. During being slowly digested by this fiend the player is given blindness and slowness, and nearby mobs are attracted to the slobber covered person.
It would be possible to kill it before it can attach to your face if you ready a bow shot to shoot it as it falls, and can easily be avoided if you recognize the saliva and not mistake it for another liquid. Also if the player is wearing a pumpkin the creature cannot latch on in the first place due to the block's size.
"Disclaimer"
-These are not meant to be too common because I could see them becoming a nuisance, so perhaps they only spawn if the player is in possession of mushrooms or some other trigger item.
-The fact that water may not always be around can make these guys very annoying in the case you don't have a bow to shoot it before it lands, other ways of dispatching them would be nice, perhaps a way to lure it elsewhere with the use of an item (mushrooms?)
- If someone detects one, I don't want them to be able to ignore them, maybe the slobber increases mob spawn rate? Or causes some hallucinations? Then if the player hadn't known before they will once experiencing these symptoms.
- Seeing as they do attach to the head of a player, maybe something should happen with the helmet? Nothing permanent, maybe just they drop it on death or something, but even then if it despawns... maybe they can't despawn...? idk
I can tell you put a lot of thought into this, but I don't think I'm going to make it. It seems to be nothing but an annoyance: not fun or cool. Players won't get excited about this.
Now, THIS I can see being a great addition! I'll try to think of a way to make this work...
Is there a minimum size for mobs?Is it also possible for you to make an interactive "corpse"
What I have in mind is a gigantic mob that has two phases:You first fight it from the outside and after taking its health down,it will go unconscious for a few moment. When nothing is done,it will just go back up and recover a few amount of health. To actually defeat it,you would have to right click a certain part of the boss while it's down.Doing so will take you to the inside of the boss, where you will have to fight off some of the "guards" inside it.While inside the boss, the goal is to get to the vital part of the boss and destroy it.After destroying this part, either you will just be taken outside automatically or an opening will appear and you would have to go there to leave the inside of the boss. After escaping the interior of the boss, you can either find the loot lying on the ground or watch the boss collapse and the loots drop off.
I don't really have an actual design for this boss.
Mowzie you helped make the transformers mod?

I scored 36% on the Minecraft Trivia Quiz. How much do you know about Minecraft?
How about this for a new mob? A giant venomous snake which has venom drooling from it's mouth, will kill anything smaller than it. How about that?

It's just a giant snake. How would that be interesting?
For the tribal hunters it'd be cool if there was a hunter with a special kind of blowdart that when hit by a dart would make you paralyzed. Then they'd do some sort of sacrifice thing that you need to escape somehow.
Ah, I forgot, this isn't Techne anymore where the option was 0.1 units offset. Ok, so I am not that much of an idiot. xD
Did I mention that it has camouflage, looks like a cobra, and makes shrieking noises when it's trying to attack it's prey?

Weird crash when I updated LLibrary to the latest version. Any idea what went wrong?

You're using Java 6 while you need to be using at least 7.

I like weather.
A eusocial mob would fun and interesting, but I don't want it turning into the xenomorphs. A tribe isn't really eusocial with hierarchy.
I like weather.
What's LLibrary?
Llibrary (Library) is a modding API and a prerequisite for mowzies mobs. Link to it here

So, it's a GLORIFIED giant snake.
Still not impressive.
I can tell you put a lot of thought into this, but I don't think I'm going to make it. It seems to be nothing but an annoyance: not fun or cool. Players won't get excited about this.
Now, THIS I can see being a great addition! I'll try to think of a way to make this work...
I honestly yhink it would be funny to see a guardian or *pufferfish* as a naval mine-
Also im currently working on my own mod
