Yea, totally love this mod - this and RTG complete MC world gen in a way that should have been there from the start. +1 vote to getting 1.9 support worked in.
I don't know whats happening here... I saw that Stellar Sky and SciApi was the cause of a "Exception getting block into world" crash, and after removing them, I'm still getting the crash... http://pastebin.com/BQHVp9wM I don't know whats happening, but I'd really love if I could get the streams into my world again without having to go through all 160 mods (-2 excluding Farseek and Streams) removng and re-adding them until I generate the world without crashing...

It's unclear whether removing that mod would help in your case since it involves a structure already generated in your world. Anyway, perhaps the Unique Artifact devs can help. Good luck!

Thanks azeroth2b, much appreciated! I'm working on 1.8/1.9 compatibility currently. It's not easy because so much has changed since 1.7, but I'm fairly optimistic I can get it done for the current Streams version. Stay tuned!

Thanks Delvr, I'll go report it over there and see if I can't get some help... I guess for now I can live without the Artifact structures, I much preffer the rivers anyway XD I have Reccurent Complex, so I'll have worldgen structures still :3
Hey Hey Hey I'm back!... unfortunately... http://pastebin.com/eKzcGsZh this one upsets me a bit... I'm sure I've used these two before, and the current devs of the wastelands mod are gone, and not updating it anymore
I noticed that some Villages seem to spawn above rivers / seem to be messed up by the rivers.
Also I can't seem to stop the flow of a stream by blocking it with a Dam.
No, they are all "source" blocks, with meta-data values to control draw height, and code for their flow angle.
But ... you gave me an idea.
What-if: once I get flowing water working outside the dev environment, I manage to find a way to convert streams blocks into water blocks ** while leaving the sources at the heads intact **.
Right now I go out of my way to not disturb streams blocks, to avoid breaking them at the source -- and actually have them act as water sinks. But if they could actually act as sources and behave normally ... yea, flood the world, never mind. Ignore this.
(In regard to a mod that gives realistic animal genetics):
Would you really rather have bees that make diamonds and oil with magical genetic blocks?
... did I really ask that?

The key is to not add actual water physics to Minecraft. This wouldn't work and would require massive amounts of rewriting. I guess the goal would be to make the stream blocks "connected", and when you cut a river off by making a dam, then you would make the water on the other side level off at the same height as the ocean. And then make the riverbeds a mixture of dirt and gravel instead of stone to make them grown after a while.
If I could detect that a stream was "cut off", it would be trivial to turn the "downstream" stream blocks into normal water. Heck, the code does that unless I work really hard at not doing that.

Ok finally i found the shader line. No idea why it wasn't there before, however now it is. But I have no clue where the gbuffers_wqater.wsh file should be located. I opened the shader zip. In that zip I find several files. Most similar to the wanted file are "gbuffers_water.vsh" and "gbuffers_water.fsh". Also there is a "shaders.properties". But I really can't find the "gbuffers_wqater.wsh" theline is talking about.
Oops, that was a typo, will fix. The file is gbuffers_water.vsh.
Is there a 1.8.9 downloaded? sorry i do don't speak Anglais very well and i have read all i could to find one thanks you your time
Nope. 1.7.10 only by the looks of it.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable. If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME. Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.
Streams is now available for Minecraft 1.8.9 and 1.9! You can find the new downloads in the top post (the "latest" box won't update right away, but you'll find the latest in "all downloads"). As with any mod, keep in mind that the first release for a new MC version can be a bit unstable, so please back up your worlds before upgrading, and let me know of any issues or mod incompatibilities.
Also note that the 1.9 version is NOT compatible with the first RTG 1.9 alpha release (streams will be found buried under soil) but this has been fixed on the RTG side for their next 1.9 release.
If I could detect that a stream was "cut off", it would be trivial to turn the "downstream" stream blocks into normal water. Heck, the code does that unless I work really hard at not doing that.

Based on your stacktrace it seems to be a bug with Unique Artifacts, related to generating pistons in wizard towers. This is the last reference to this I found on their thread: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1291999-unique-artifacts-powerful-randomly-generated-items?page=70#c1396

Oh My God Baby Jebus Riding A Rainbow Coloured Unicorn!! How have I never discovered this mod before... It's Phenomenal!
I see the comments above regarding 1.9 updates and compatibility with RTG, all I can say to that is.....
(Just kidding, I'm patient. But seriously, RTG + Streams = Minecraft As It Should Be )

Detecting the cut off? Much, much harder.

oh thanks you
That said, expect a 1.8.9 version to appear very soon, sometime this week. :-)
My mods:
Minecraft 1.9.4 is out now and forge should be out for it very shortly so i'd take a look into that since you have 1.8.9 almost done.

Woohoo! Finally out for 1.9! I'm excited to get started with my world.
