Most servers I've seen allow mods to be installed that could aid the player if they're not being used. Since you can turn off all of the elements of the HUD, any that could get somebody in trouble can be deactivated.
Actually, I am a moderator on a modded server. We allow this mod, but there are lots of mods we don't allow. For example; we don't allow any mod with a radar even if its disable. Therefore, we allow minimaps like Journeymap fairplay.

That's a weird one. It appears to have no link to the mod whatsoever, from the report itself. Try removing the mod from the mods folder, then run the game again to see if the error still occurs. If it does, try installing Forge again.
Your mod is good ... but why not add time of potion effect ? and about the time a baby animal grow in an adult....As another idea of putting a food gets hungry ?

Could be a few days, up to maybe a couple weeks. Unless I find some bug that breaks everything, it should be soon. I'm currently going through all 23 of the current elements, checking if they all work fine (e.g. I had to change the XP element, since it still used the 1.7 level values - they are changed in 1.8). First 1.8 release will be the result of that, then any subsequent releases will either be bugfixes or adding new elements.
A slight update - I've had a little trouble with rendering (which is pretty much all of the mod anyway) so I think I'll have to postpone the update of Better HUD a little while. At the moment I have several exams to get through, so probably at least until those are finished.

Version 1.2 for Minecraft 1.8 has been released! While a little buggy in some areas (curse you, Mojang, for making things harder), this release functions pretty much the same in most aspects. I'm using better hud for 1.7.10 on linux and the hud.txt config file gets created in the root directory of the pack (the profile game directory) as config\hud.txt instead of using proper file paths (config/hud.txt).

I had absolutely no idea Linux allowed backslashes in file names (or even used a different directory separator). Anyway, I'll have this fixed soon, I know what the problem is.

Hey I was wondering if I could showcase this mod on my YouTube channel. Mod showcases are what does best view wise on my channel and this mod looks astronomically biblical. INCREDIBLE! I only have 72 subscribers but people tell me that they think I should have WAY more. So, yeah. Thanks.

Curse PremiumI did make one attempt during the very early Forge builds for 1.8, but haven't since. Hopefully soon I'll get to finishing up.

This mod is awesome, i like it very much.
i've some suggestions:
-water dripping effect after getting out of water
-water drops when rainning
-and maybe some potion screen effect (green frame when poisoned,red frame under strength potion ...etc)
