It will stay like that for a little while due to loading so much. Does it ever finish loading? Does it crash out? If it crashes, a crash log would help determine what's wrong. Check to make sure the following:
1) You have Java 7 installed, not 8. The technic launcher has issues with 8.
2) You've allocated at least 2GB of RAM to the technic launcher. (Instructions are on the technic description page)
3) If you can't give it more than 2GB of RAM, make sure that you have the correct version of Java for your OS. (ie. If you have Win7 64bit, make sure you have Java 7 64bit.)
Let me know if its still giving you issues after checking those three things. Thanks!

Hm.. what do you mean by a small picture? Can you upload screenshots? Sometimes if you maximize the window while it's loading it will do that. Making it small again, then maximizing it again should fix that.
Hey everyone! Just updated the pack to update Mists of Riov and add Mystcraft :D! Enjoy, and please be sure to backup your worlds frequently as Mystcraft was JUST updated and it may still have issues no ones run into yet.

I dunno if I'm going to miss RioV. Seemed the factions were very lopsided as far as spawning, and the green faction were tough to kill in a pack and hit like a freight train. Hit boxes seemed off too.
I really want to play it with my mates. So how hard would it be for me to host the modpack server side?

Not hard at all! If you download the MC Server 1.7.10 and install forge to it (MysticBlade runs Forge10.13.2.1230), you'll need to start that up, stop it, and then copy the mods over to the servers' mod folder. There ARE some mods that you don't want to install on the server though because they will cause crashes- NEI, WAILA, Damage Indicators, Armor Status HUD, etc.. basically the mods that display stuff on the clients' screen are mods you don't need (or want) on the server. Let me know if you need help

You're not missing anything, I removed it exactly for those reasons. I was at one point being insta-gibbed by multiple enemies I couldn't hit cause my faction was Raetin and there were NONE around to assist. I don't think it will be coming back as the author doesn't seem to like making config files for options, and prefers his mod the way it is.
Game is running a lot smoother now that The map and Riov mods are gone. I would have FPS drops in the single digits as well as crashes as the game tried to load chunks if I started vigorously exploring. MUCH smoother now. I've logged a couple hours on the latest update, works great.

Excellent! Glad to hear it! Really, I think the main contributor to the FPS issues was BoP and an old Forge version. I tried a couple different versions over the past few days before I did the update, and chose the ones that worked the best. Glad to hear that it's cleared up! That was starting to bug me xD
I did get some weirdly corrupted chunks at one point, but considering a large portion of my map for my LP world is explored (at least 3000+ in all directions), I honestly kind of expected it. Not to mention a lot of these mods, with the exception of forge, are still very much in beta and in a constant state of being updated :3
Oh! I also got Matmos working in my test version of MysticBlade. Would anyone be interested in seeing this added? It can very easily be disabled via the in game interface through F7 if you don't like it I feel like it fits well with an RPG modpack, and it works great in my other modpacks!

That would be lovely! I mean, feel free to make a map and submit it. The only thing I really need for the map to work is:
3-4 Towns:
One main town where you spawn that has all the necessities and adventurer would need, including an adventurers guild with hire-able guild companions, Blacksmith, General Store, Tavern, Artifact Trader, Bank, Mage Tower for enchanting and purchasing mage reagents (Thumcraft, Blood Magic, and Ars Magica crafting resources).
One smaller town that will act as a quest hub and an area to pick up different npc companions including Blacksmith, General Goods, Bank
One Evil town that would be the equivalent of the first town, but for the 'evil' faction that you need to be friendly with the Fallen to enter. I would setup the reps, so no worries about that. I just need it to look very undead, creepy, etc.
One Elven town that you need to be friendly with the Fae Folk to enter. Again, I would setup the reps so that's no problem. I just need it to look very woodsy, if possibly in a magical woods or sakura biome with houses big and small, made of trees.
If you feel so inclined to give it a go, I would be very appreciative!
I'll get to work, and add some extra little secrets as well. Do you want me to use a specific resource pack, or the plain Minecraft textures, or anything.
If it rests black for more than 10 minutes, you can start to worry.
When you post a mod: "No pics no clicks" and "MCreator = bad ~99% of the time"
Don't forget to read the crashlog before reporting the crash. It might tell you why it's crashing.

Bad news, only a small picture is on screen....
Hm.. what do you mean by a small picture? Can you upload screenshots? Sometimes if you maximize the window while it's loading it will do that. Making it small again, then maximizing it again should fix that.
