I am so sorry for my lack of activity everyone. I have had a lot of stuff going on such as my laptop breaking, college and just other barriers. I also really went off Minecraft which really hasn't helped. I am currently using an old rust bucket of a laptop that will allow me to run techne but uffortunately I can't run the game without really bad FPS. So I am going to try and get a lot of the models I had off my old PC remade and I'll see about getting an update out in the near future.
You all have my sincere apology, I have let you all down and for that I am really sorry. You guys have been so supportive of the mod and for that I owe you the very least to update the mod.
I will have a chat with HoopAWolf about getting the mod updated with new content. Once again I am really sorry everyone.
There are just few issues..not really the need to completely change it...mainly the ID conflicts and some sounds the mobs make [the little blue rabbit imitates a cow, sheep, and a pig sometimes]...take your time...and welcome back!
Actually both Jackalope do that. It's 100% intentional. Jackalope by legend once mimiced cowboys' voices who when they were at night from a distance. Because the player has no dialogue we decided to have them mimic other animal noises. ID conflicts is a known issue. We'll try to have it fixed.

hahaha, really? Must check those legends! Thanks for focusing on the ID conflict!
Hey, you're back! Still haven't gotten my perk for donating, but the wait will be worth it, esp if we get the Kappa. Also bumping my suggestions just in case.
So, the devs don't seem to be doing much on this right now, but I still wanted to suggest some more stuff. Sooo, Here's my mobs. Each one comes with a unique feature, a special item, and the mythology associated with the creature.
AKHLUT:
An Inuit creature that looks like an Orca with legs. Modeling them would be relatively easy to do nicely. This would spawn exclusively in winter biomes near or in water. It would act much like a wolf, in that if you provoke it, they will attack you. They attack other hostile mobs. Maybe you could tame them like wolves also? Drops Ahklut Blubber. Can be used to create something burnable, since whale fat was used for lamps? Perhaps a Lantern of Protection that damages or scares away hostile mobs, since Akhluts are spirits of protection?
WENDIGO:
A spirit of famine and cannibalism from Algonquin folklore. They could could be bipedal or go on all fours in the model. They look like zombified humans cobbled together with the bones of forest creatures. Spawns in Taiga and winter biomes. They are very quick, and they hunt zombies. (cuz flesh eaters) When they hit you, the hunger potion effect is placed on the player. Drops Wendigo Ribs or a Wendigo Skull that can then be used to create an armor piece that converts heath of mobs you hit into filling up your hunger.
CAPRICORN:
Comes from Greek Mythology. A capricorn is a creature with the front half of a goat and the back half of a fish. Modeling possibilities include having a sheep with small, curly horns in place of an entirely new goat model. These would be passive mobs that can be found only in ocean biomes (they don't spawn naturally in lakes or rivers like squids. They would drop Capricorn Mutton and Capricorn Horn which can be crafted (using some other ocean item, like Aquaman Scales) into a Triton Shofar. A Shofar is a long musical instrument made from a goat's horn. When blown, it uses a point of durability and allows the player to swim at much greater speeds for a short period of time. As long as you have it in your hand, you also cannot drown, but it also takes damage over time for this.
NUCKELAVEE:
A creature from Scottish Folklore. Nuckelavees are centaur like creatures that look like a man riding a horse, but the man is attached at the waist. It has no skin, but instead all of it's muscles are exposed. Possible modeling opportunities to reuse the original horse model. The Nuckelavee is a creature of plague and famine, so it seeks out and destroys farms of wheat and potatoes. When it attacks you, it inflicts a number of nasty potion effects on you, and knocks you back. These will only spawn around Nether Portals, both in the Nether and Overworld. When killed, it drops 20-30 rotten flesh, and in addition, you will occasionally get a Devil Pike. This is a weapon similar to the tusk lance in it's appearance, but it is much more powerful. When striking a mob, it applies a whole bunch of similar nasty effects. However, when it is in your inventory, it slowly destroys all crop based food items (except for potatoes, which it replaces with poison potatoes)
Just bumping an edited version of my suggestions just in case

any new when this would be updated? to 1.8? because we would like to include this in our bone breaker mod pack
No official date yet but we are trying to take our time as we would like to bring out a nice clean update with minimal bugs and some new content for fans to enjoy. For updates on the mod people are best off following my Twitter.
UKdeccy, I am loving the mod aside from one small problem. In any world I create, Jackalopes and Wolpertings will spawn like crazy over time, until the game finally crashes because of the 'livingentity' code. I have tried changing the config file to a smaller spawnrate of 1, but I still will leave my mine after a day or two and find the hills near my home covered with these (adorable but annoying) mobs. I mean literally covered. My farms are being destroyed as well! It is only these two mobs from what I can tell. Is there any solution for a problem like this???

Hiya, not sure if this has been mentioned or not but some of the spawn rates are INSANELY high. Specifically for Jackalopes, Wolpentigers, and Frost Jackalopes. I've had multiple worlds where upon entering areas where they natively spawn they spawn at such an uncontrollable rate that before I can even kill them to reduce the lag, my framerate has dropped to 1-5 FPS. Most of the time I crash from it, too. I know you can just lower the spawnrate in the config but if it does that much at a normal setting it might be a good idea to just have it lowered already.

Creator of the Mo' Chickens mod! So many chickens, so much death!
They have been in the process of recoding this from scratch to try to fix all the bugs, and optimize the code better. At least, this is the last I heard from either of them a couple months ago.

Hi, I'm working on a modpack for a minecraft series (Myths & Monsters) and I was hoping you'd let me use your mod in the modpack. Can I?
