they said the same thing last month and the month before that and so on and so on. also a snapshot does not mean around the corner as we had almost a full year of 1.8 snapshots before 1.8 came out. So I repeat how is 1.9 around the corner seeing there has been no new news since the takeover. not being mean just confused as to how you think it's coming out soon

I didn't mean the Full release of 1.9, I meant snapshots for 1.9. While 1.9 is in development I'm sure more people are likely to want mod's for 1.8.
ok, the way you said it made it seem as if you meant a full release but now I am following you, as for the 1.8 thing your half right. You see people do want to update to 1.8 but there are lots of reason why people want to hold out. a few are things such as bukket. most servers kind of need it to keep players inline and as far as I know not much has updated to 1.8 and what has updated is buggy at best. The same goes for mods as from what I hear forge has only just come out for 1.8 and it is really buggy as of now and on top of that most modder don't seem to want to rewrite their mods for what little 1.8 adds. hell some mods I have in my modpack add most things that 1.8 adds and it's more stable so yeah. From what I can tell the mod author of this mod is not waiting for 1.9 he just simply left due to x reason. You can tell this by his post and the post of other modders that use his mod api.

Mod is for 1.7.2, you're using MC 1.7.10. Please look through the thread for common crash problems before posting. Also, use spoilers or pastebin for crash logs, people like those.
Too bad this mod isn't updated. It was awesome when I played 1.7.2 but it needs to get ported to stay relevant. It would be especially nice in 1.8. Archimedes ships is getting ported soon, and this mod would be nice with the sea monuments and the ruins mod.

Are you trying to run this on 1.7.10 or higher? Because that is your most likely problem.

This is the one ocean mod that was actually useful and now it's no longer relevant. Needs an update to 1.7.10!
