There are plans to release 1.7x versions and 1.8 ones if Forge releases API for it. Since it is relatively easy to move between versions we can continue to do this until Forge stops releasing new versions and mod making ceases as a whole. The current slow down is implementing the popular Thermal Expansion RF power to replace Universal Electricity in the 2.0 versions for Mad Science. More on that in coming weeks though when there is more to share video and pics wise!
Hey,hmm...sorry if this is the wrong place for suggestions,but i coudn't find a proper place in the website,sooo....here's my suggestion:
The M56 SmartGun.
It would work just like the M41A Pulse Rifle,but it would need a new type of bullet: 10x28mm caseless rounds and a new type of magazine: a 150-round detachable drum magazine. It does have more than 1 fire mode,but how it is alredy a OP weapon,i dont think it will be necessary.I dont think a tracking system will be necessary either,as it would be pretty hard to model a 3D helmet,make a fully-operational infrared enemy tracking system and incorporate it in a bad-ass HUD.
They are still working on the 1.6.4 version, because the mod creator is building a program that will allow to automatically make machine blocks for mods. This way he can just enter what the machine would do an it pops out the code for it.
After he finishes that he will update the 1.6.4 to the final version, that will be stabile enough to be used on servers without any bugs.
After that he will start working on 1.7.10 and add new stuff.
At least that's what I heard, if I got anything wrong feel free to correct me.

Actually, some cross-compatibility with the AvP mod would be really cool. Maybe you could acquire Xenomorph DNA and mix it with DNA from other mobs to make the Xenomorph hybrids, like mixing Xenomorphic DNA with Wolf DNA to create a Runner, or Xenomorphic DNA with Skeleton DNA to make a Spitter. Not likely, but it would still be really cool and fitting...
Just a suggestion, could you make it where the Abomination can only teleport were it can path-find? This would make it actually possible to contain them, but keeping them just as deadly.

I've been playing around with some Mad Science stuff in the Voltz pack but I'm having a problem with the CnC machine that I can't seem to find on the wiki or youtube. How do I power this thing? Redstone torch next to it doesn't seem to do anything, the youtube video on the wiki references "glass fibre pipe" which doesn't seem to exist in Voltz and just piping in regular power from another mod doesn't seem to work.
I must be missing something obvious here but I'll be darned if I can figure out what!

@Dades: You can automatically open the wiki by clicking the pi symbol in the upper right corner of any machine GUI, there are videos and full explanation on the site where the mod comes from. Also for everyone else that asked yes, very much alive and busy working on the mod. The editor program Codebracker mentioned is a thing also, more details coming on both fronts. It was something we made to help ourselves but think others might enjoy it also.
Thanks for responding. That's the wiki I was referencing in my post. I've read it and watched the video but can't seem to get the CnC machine actually powered. What power delivery method does it take? The wiki just says "power" and "redstone". I used redstone right next to it and nothing, not sure what "power" it means. I've tried hooking it up to my solar panels and etc from other mods in Voltz but nothing.
The video shows the person hooking up something called "glass fibre pipe" to it but I don't see that at all in the version of the mod packed with Voltz.

The power is any form of power that is in Minecraft. This can be from a number of other mods but you will need either juice from Buildcraft, ThermalExpansion, Industrial Craft 2, etc. That is what it is referring to, hope this helps!
I think my question got missed, a few pages ago. I couldn't get the spawn eggs from this mod to work with a dispenser: it just drops the egg, instead of spawning a mob. Any plans to fix this?
