Yeah, I can't say the idea of needing to be cautious about what I pick up in Minecraft excites me, but I can add it as an option at some point down the road.
What I have right now are 7 types of rupees that are interchangeably craftable.
The wallet is a permanent part of your character once you acquire it; Once you've unlocked the wallet, rupees picked up from the ground will automatically go into it rather than your inventory whether or not you are currently carrying an actual wallet item on your person.
The wallet item will be needed to activate the rupee trading interface and will also have a custom inventory representation of the rupees it contains so that you can take some out and put them in your inventory (and vice versa). Once you have unlocked the wallet, you will be able to craft a replacement at any time.
ZSS NPCs such as Barnes will of course have items that can be purchased with rupees, and I'm thinking I may add in a couple generic shop lists for regular villagers.
Of course, all of the stuff that is finished was already done about a month ago, just before we decided to get a puppy. I expect she will continue to take most of my time for at least the next month or two - sorry for the delay.

Can't wait for this!! I've just started calling emeralds Rupees anyways, lol. Cute puppy too
So code them in then.
not gonna lie. emeralds kinda take up space in the inventory. plus they only come in one color: green.
the zelda series has WAY more colors than green for rupees.
blue rupees are 5
yellow rupees are 10
red are 20
purple are 50
silver is 100
and orange is 200.
i'd kinda like rupees to have a counter that doesnt take up inventory space.
I'm just gonna toss this out there...
This brings promise of riches.
You can thank TheLegendOfGroose for convincing me
If you think different rupees take up space, how does Link store them in one convienent place, *ahem* this guy.
You can easily do the same cos you can base the scripting off the Bomb Bag. Just add some tweaks to the new rupee system and the wallet and boom.
Zidane, did you see the screen shot? Specifically the upper-left corner? This problem has already been solved
Yep. Both the wallets and rupees are finished, but I haven't made the trading interface yet.
Can we expect Rupoor?
so will we able to win upgrades to said wallets then? Like as a side-quest or something?
I wasn't planning on it, but it wouldn't be hard to do if people really want them.
That's the plan eventually, but for now they'll just be found as random loot in boss chests and the like.
Y'ALL ARE WELCOME
And I made the sprites.
All hail TheLegendOfGroose!
It would force players to pay attention to what they pick up.
Would that be fun, though?
Looks great! Never thought I'd be in favor of rupees in Minecraft.
@LegendOfGroose the textures seem a little... reminiscent, no?

No. But neither is getting jumped by a bunch of Keese.
Does that happen to you often? I can't say I've ever experienced that myself, but it doesn't sound found. Have you tried modifying the spawn rate?
