Ah, yes, that. I've had problems with that too ever since the forums switched layout last year. Try reporting it to the forum staff.
I'm not the first one to complain to the staff. I'm pretty sure it's an issue with whatever forum software they're using (I remember there being a big update a few years ago, and it's been crap ever since).
Also you should look through my latest release, I fixed the block outline bug. The code is generic, so you could copy it directly from my pack and just edit the .vsh files with your shaders.
I'll just start by saying that I am not experienced at minecraft modding at all. This was merely something I wanted and decided to mess around with it a bit to see if I could do it. I messed around with the mod for a few hours and got the animal crossing effect to work quite nicely. I created different versions that curve the game at different amounts (0.1 being the lowest and 1 being the greatest). I found 0.4 to be the best for me as I want the curve but also still like to see into the distance some.
I uploaded the files to my google drive and here are the links (1.8 compatible):
I really hope this does not infringe on your shader packs or anything. That is not my intention. If it does please let me know and i will immediately take the files down. I simply wanted to share what I came up with since I couldn't really find what I wanted online (and trust me I searched for hours).
For any who are interested on how I did this or who wish to achieve a curve of their own:
All you have to do is go into each of the .vsh files (I used notepad++) and change the following lines:
float om = -0.1*sin(((worldpos.z) / 256.0)); -line 23
float om = -0.1*sin(((worldpos.x) / 256.0)); - line 30
Replace the 0.1 with whatever number you wish. Make sure you do this for all 7 files!! I believe that a positive number will cause an inward curve and a negative number will cause the world away from you creating the animal crossing effect. A smaller number = a smaller curve. A greater number= a greater curve. (Ignoring the - sign, so -1 > -0.1).
My only issue is that I value the visual effects of normal shaders too much to faithfully use this curvature shader haha. I am currently using the SEUS-v10.1-Ultra-Motion-Blur.zip shader pack and it is gorgeous. So my next question is would it be possible to combine shaders? I would love to have the visual effects of SEUS combined with the curve effect.
You're using a different version of the Animal Crossing shaders that what I've released. Perhaps you're using the original Animal Crossing Shaders code, way back from beta? I don't know, looked all over for the original code, but couldn't find it. The version I released is basically just these 2 lined:
You can edit the 2 values in the second line (the two 20's) to adjust the radius of the world, and the maximum amount that surrounding terrain is lowered.
SUES integration is pretty easy. You just need to add the shader transformation code (everything after position is defined, and before it's applied to gl_Position) to the SUES files. In the SUES files you need to add them right after position is defined. The SUES files that need to be edited are:
i think the effect is much better in here.... it's a way older version of the shaders but is there any way to make the effect to look more like this?
I've come to the conclusion that there is no difference. Whatever's going on in that video is a mix of the recording taking place at just the right time, a good structure and texture pack to showcase the shaders with, and the video possibly being speed up in parts.

Just downloaded your Animal Crossing shader and thinking a slightly altered version could add a lot to the game instead of just being funny. One of the things that is most annoying is chunks loading and popping into view but due to this pack bending the horizon out of view that does not happen much, stuff seems to get loaded out of view and then rolls into view. I changed the position.y -= min(distance2D / 20, 20); to position.y -= min(distance2D / 99, 99); which is a step in the right direction but still to rounded. Is there a way to tone down the effect further?
Ugh this bug is so annoying and I can't figure how it happens and what causes it.
Every time I open the Inventory (Defaults to E) it just shows the sky. Other times I can see it, but other times I just cannot see the stupid inventory. It makes survival mode impossible without seeing what I'm doing. It SOMETIMES shows the inventory but it seem either the game or server I don't know.
GUI's like command blocks, chests, crafting tables, and stuff like that are fine, I'm guessing it bugs out when trying to display the player in the inventory???

I don't mind you uploading the pack.

This is pretty crazy. It would be funny to see people trying to PVP with this on.
what version of minecraft is this for? i keep trying on 1.8 but it won't show any difference, i also tried the built in shaders, and they worked fine
Did you install the GLSL Shaders Mod? Try a different shaderpack maybe.

Mewtwo is the best pokemon!
i said the shaders included worked yes i have the shaders mod (btw i don't mean this to be mean)
could you make an installation video? maybe it is the version of the mod
I'm not talking about the in-game shaders. Go and download a different shaderpack from the GLSL Shaders Mod thread and see if they work on your setup.
wait... does this work for intel graphics?
yeah well i want spheres so 1 minus diamond
dont put it at like 1000 or your game will mess up
This is pretty awesome, PvP would be an entirely different game if everyone involved had this...

Kinda dead tbh. Will probably add the acid effect to my new shaderpack, which will be ready for a preliminary release sometime this summer hopefully.
Looking forward to it.
can you update this to 1.9/1.10?
Probably not gonna bother, I've moved on to a new shaderpack, Acid shaders will be added soon.
