FeedTheBeast Direwolf20 Modpack is not working with this. Tried rebinding different keys, didn't work, tried restarting the game, didn't work... not sure what else to do here. It's in the enabled mods list on FTB for the pack though so idk. The coordinates thing at the top shows up too.
Edit: The keybinds do show up however.
Edit: I got it to work. X is a conflicting keybind, change the other X keybind to nothing.
Could you modify the installer to include a text-control/listbox/combobox/folder-selector for the location of the (dot) .minecraft folder much like the Forge and LiteLoader installers do?
Additionally, when running the XRay installer and one selects a profile like a "Forge" or "LiteLoader" it grays out the "Name-a-new-profile" line in the installer popup. Obviously it is going to update an existing profile. However instead of updating the non-vanilla profile, I'd like an option to create a new profile based off of the non-vanilla profile where I can provide the new profile with a name.
Reason is, unlike many, I launch Minecraft from a desktop icon pointing to a batch file. Each icon/batch-file pair points to a different minecraft folder. For example I have something like:
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.4.7 Vanilla\.minecraft (no mods)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.4.7 Forge Girls\.minecraft (mods that my girls like but I don't)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.4.7 Forge Loaded\.minecraft (tons of mods)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.6.4 Vanilla\.minecraft (no mods)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.6.4 Forge Basic\.minecraft (just a few mods like TreeCapitator or NEI)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.6.4 Forge Cute\.minecraft (my child A worlds with her mods)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.6.4 Forge Scary\.minecraft (my child B worlds with her mods)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.7.10 Vanilla\.minecraft (no mods)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.7.10 Forge\.minecraft (just Forge; I copy to setting up with newly released versions of Forge)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.7.10 LiteLoaderA\.minecraft (filled with primary mods like NEI and API mods)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.7.10 LiteLoaderB\.minecraft (good set of mods I like)
E:\Games\Minecraft\1.7.10 LiteLoaderC\.minecraft (mods I am trying out)
(I know the example is over done but perhaps it would help newer players know what they CAN do for their setups. Also it's more complicated than what is shown as I have dabbled with coding mods.)

In each of those folders (excluding the .minecraft subfolder part) is a Minecraft.exe and a minecraft.bat file. Each folder can have multiple worlds and multple profiles and multiple versions of minecraft. I try to keep it simple because my kids are young and profiles confuse them. Typically at most 3 minecraft profiles in each folder. One minecraft profile for the vanilla version of minecraft, one profile for the Forge profile, and one profile for LiteLoader. Now I'll keep a profile for XRay.
A simplified representation of the minecraft.bat batch file basically does:
set APPDATA=%CWD%
%CWD%\Minecraft.exe
This works absolutely great since 1.4.7. I suspect it will work great irregardless of how minecraft's launcher changes. I no longer use other launchers. This escapes waiting for 3rd party launchers to be upgraded to support Minecraft's changes. This is also better then just selecting Minecraft profiles configured with folders pointing to specific "saved game" folders. I don't worry about which mods are being used. I also can use old minecraft.exe versions without fear of breaking my worlds and its setup.
I don't quite know why this is not done by others. The batch file simply changes the OS environment variable APPDATA to a folder with a .minecraft folder in it. As a coder I'm sure you know that when you change any OS environment variable by launching it from an icon you don't actually change your APPDATA variable, you only change it for the environment of the running batch file. When minecraft.bat and minecraft.exe exit APPDATA is set to what it always is. I say this so people willing to try this won't worry about getting their OS environment mucked up
Well, if you don't add that line to the installer, it's no problem. I just dropped to a command prompt, manually set the APPDATA to the folder holding .minecraft that I wanted to and then ran the XRay.jar. Then selected my LiteLoader profile and all's good. I'll need to recreate my LiteLoader profile if XRay confilcts with any new mods I'll later install.
This mod works really well, apart from one thing. I can install xray with liteloader, and I can install xray with optifine, but I cannot install xray, optifine, and liteloader. Help?

My keybinds not show up can you send me yours options.txt?
I can play with optifine and liteloader at the same time though just by dropping the optifine.jar into /mods/1.7.10. Upon further testing it seems I can load xray, optifine, and liteloader, but the zoom feature doesn't work from optifine even though all the other parts do.
Is there a way to add additional blocks to the config file? Currently all the vanilla blocks are there, but I'm running a number of mods and would like to be able to configure it to only show copper ore for example. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thx
Im not sure if this will work but try putting the name of the mod first then block like how for grass in the blocks dump is minecraft:grass so it may work
I'm using Forge 1.7.10. This is working for me in single player, but when I try to connect to my server (also running 1.7.10) I see the following message repeated a bunch of times in the console, and it never successfully connects:
[21:14:52] [Netty IO #8/INFO] [FML]: Unexpected packet during modded negotiation - assuming vanilla or keepalives : net.minecraft.network.play.client.C00PacketKeepAlive
Edit: Nevermind, my bad. I had patched the vanilla version, but it reused my Forge profile. Once I patched the right one I could connect.
First, all the versions are joined into one download.
Second, the installer had to be rewritten to support all of the versions being bundled together. So it's a bit different (and not as nice, but maybe I'll clean it up later)
Lastly, the wildcard matching in the block configs is more like real wildcard matching. I.e, the * character matches zero or more characters.
Report any problems and I'll fix them promptly - if all goes well I'll release it 'officially' in the next couple of days.
Here's the official changelog entry:
v2.16.0 (2015-01-12)
- XRay will now update the configuration if more blocks are added mid-game
- Redesigned wildcard matching
- Rewrote the patching code (like 3 times)
- Rewrote the installer
- Merged all versions into a single download
- Will now display if there is an update in-game
- Lots of code restructuring
Figured it out, wasn't launching with Java properly, had to manually update it to the latest version, restart the PC and then it worked. Still, a lot of servers I go on run something that blocks this from working until you're RIGHT up next the ore you're digging for.

I tried to use this to find ores in another mod. I tried removing all the blocks in Redstone and replace them wtih mod block name (ex. Metallurgy:fantasy.ore) BUT they never work!
I cannot find keybinds in Controls Menu.
And it is not making file in config.
This is actually my problem also.
