Seems to be fine in single player but when picking up Vinteum Ore on a server for the first time I get an Internal server error. Attempting to reconnect results in an immediate kick with the same error. I'm able to reproduce it by deleting my player data, logging in and picking up a piece of Vinteum Ore in any gamemode.
Using version 1.4.0.007 with following taken from the server log
Full version with only Ars Magica, Animation API and a few core mods:
Probably is the bug Mithion is now fixing... it seems the game calls upon a new entry (the one from the newfound item) from the ars magica compendium, but some link in between is missing and it crashes
The log looked similar but was said to be for the magic wall, which you would have already needed to acquire vinteum ore to make.
Want to also report that when I mine Vinteum ore in single player I'm getting 1 - 3 ores per block, placing them down and mining them again lets you duplicate them.
Ex: 1 ore - 3 ores - 8 ores - 13 ores - 32 ores using an unenchanted diamond pickaxe

You know somethings wrong with this mod when a player on your server makes a spell that covers EVERY LOADED BLOCK ON THE SERVER in lightning.... so much lag.... I kid you not.
So after further trying I've found I still can't access the Moo moo farm dimension. I've also noticed that the dimensions folder doesn't generate with the rest of them. Could someone please confirm for me that the MMF dimension still exists in .007? I've done the below. If your method differs, please post it in a spoiler.
Create gate > place light/dark essence generator (tried both separately) > pair generator with gate > right click keystone receptacle with evil-looking book = normal portal appears. I can't get the red portal to generate.
Also, on another note, does anyone know of a way to disable the witchwoodforest biome? I'm not a fan of it and can't seem to stop it from generating with the configs.
Mithion, if you're still around, great job with many of the fixes! I've noticed that appropriation seems to work smoothly and that power links are much easier to disconnect now! I've also noticed that shrink really does shrink you but the camera is far enough back that angling around blocks allows you to see them in a xray type fashion. Not sure if that's possible to fix but thought I'd mention it.
Guess I didn't get the memo, but apparently these have all already been touched on elsewhere on the forum. For others that are also in my shoes: Moo Moo Farm is no more, witchwoodforest optional config was denied, Shrink has known xraying capabilities and should be disabled if needed.
I've uploaded version .008, which should fix the CTD issue on servers, multiple vinteum drops, and make disabling shrink properly play nice-ish with Morph.

You can disable/enable any spell part. If you have bad members then you should make use of it.

Are you using the embedded (jarmod) version of Optifine? If so, try switching to the Forge version (that's simply a jar in the mods folder - that file is what AM2 needs to detect if optifine is present).
In my testing, I used OptiFine_1.7.10_HD_U_B5.jar, and it worked beautifully.
Not everything is for everyone. That's why it's configurable. Just go into AM2\SkillConf.cfg on the server and set any you feel are too powerful to false. It will automatically propagate to any clients connecting and won't hinder progression.

Hey thanks Mithion! It worked!, such a simple fix. I never had problems running optifine in a nested folder called 1.7.10. I guess AM2 needed the file in the same directory this time around. Thanks!
Hey every one I have a slight problem and hoping some one can help me with. It started in .006 and was hoping the update would fix this problem but so far no luck. Every time I try to open my keystone to put my color runes in I get kicked from the server and get an internal server error. opening any thing else like a keystone receptical or keystone door work fine. I would greatly appreciate if any one could tell me if there is a way to fix this.

Does anybody know why my self-light spell causes me to glow OFF-CENTER?! The light appears a block south of my actual position... Nothing too terrible, I know, but it's going to annoy me, and the only other mobile see-in-the-dark spell I have is a very expensive self-night vision-true sight spell. *sigh* I'll just strap a torch to a brick and glue it to my hat. #MagicBrick #BrickInTheDark #Bricks
EDIT: I've tested the spell while in a 1x1 hole in the ground, in the dark, with a cobble wall in front of me, with smooth lighting off and no other effects on me. Still off.
Second EDIT: I've also discovered that if there is a block directly south from my head, the light will vanish. Yes, I still have the effect.
