Oi, Reika. I'm jakimfett, I'm currently developing Minechem and AlchemyPlusPlus.
I've been running your mod alongside about 50 others on my private whitelisted dev server (testing compatibility etc), mostly it's just been me and two friends. That said, I'd like to be able to get more people to help test alpha/beta versions of my mods, and I'd like permission to include some of your mods in a small modpack. I've put together a list of the mods (if you're interested), and I'd be distributing the modpack via either the FTB Launcher or the AsieLauncher.
I read through your license page, and it said for public packs, to ask for permission. So, this is me asking for permission...may I include RotaryCraft, ElectriCraft, ReactorCraft, and the DragonAPI library in my modpack?
Reika, all of your mods that i use are running at version v1f.
I doubt that.

I had 4 T3 Magnetostatics chained via shaft junctions to a Friction Heater to smelt Tungsten. The spam started when I cut power and lasted till the Friction Heater fully stopped working.
It thinks there are no engines hooked up to it. I will look into this.

Ah, turning RoC watts into steam for the steam engines? That could work, but at that point it's nearly the same as building a RoC-powered wood farm for railcraft boilers (the current plan), as they'd probably be more efficient too.
Thanks for the suggestion though, I'll have to test out a few different things in creative
No, it generates shaft power.
Also, I fixed nuclear waste not decaying.

The drum-per-halflife behavior is because it turns out the minimum is 6 years.
That explains it, the handbook entry for the storage drum could use an update.
Also, I fixed nuclear waste not decaying.
Woot! That's some excellent turnaround time. Just one more thing, if you haven't quashed it already, Ruthenium shouldn't be going into the storage drums.
I know mod authors don't hear this nearly enough, thanks for making such an interesting and awesome mod!
http://gyazo.com/9ec4f2e4655811106ebff9e702157422 That is on both my server and client in their mod dirs. Those are your mods that i use and they are all at v1f. However, I am investigating an issue with forge atm as well... i'm running forge ending in .0.1205 and that seems to have some issues in the ASM once i plugged in the mods listed in that screenshot. Tried firing up forge .1217 and it flipped out but i think i've isolated that culprit.

Okay, I've hunted all through this thread, and all through the RoC handbook, and I can't find any info on how to repair damaged engines. Someone please tell me?

Depends on the engine type.

To elaborate, I tried every non-nuclear way I could think of to heat a reactorcraft boiler and got no response. I had hoped to make a more realistc geothermal energy plant, since everything after the "heat water" step is pretty much the same as would be for a nuclear plant.

This is not possible, for rather obvious balance and/or first-law reasons.

Gas turbine. Got sucked in because I wasn't looking where I was walking, oops.
Right-click it with compressors or turbines.

Thanks a lot for the hotfix, Reika! Now the issue is gone. I do however have a new issue, but I'm not sure whether it's on the RoC end or the Applied Energistics end. I tried to connect a shaft driven by 4 wind turbines (16 kw power total) to an AE energy accepter. The server crashed, and while I can restart the server, as soon as I log in (and thus load the chunk) it crashes again. I'll have to remove it by MCEdit I guess, but it'd be nice to know what happened.
EDIT: Have also tried this on single player on my laptop now, gasoline engine > shaft > energy acceptor = world corrupting crash. The engine doesn't even have to be running.

Stringburka, I had actually asked Reika about this a few days ago (he is always right!). I finally got a chance to submit a bug report to AE and they updated the API they were using, everything seems to be working perfectly now. If you download AE rv1 beta build 34 it should work with RotaryCraft engines making your original power plan work the way it should.
Not trolling at all. ReactorCraft is even more detailed and realistic than RotaryCraft with the steam and turbines. No reason heat can only come from neutron flux. Burning any fuel should do it too, at a lesser rate. And lava would be balanced too, if it became stone in the process.

There is no way to balance this, and to expect to get a power-positive setup from things like a friction heater on a boiler is crazy.

I'm not sure if you're being serious and didn't read the in-game RotaryCraft/ReactorCraft books, or if you're just being a troll .-.
