This bundle of posts is too much to try and quote appropriately, but here are my responses in rough order of their posts:
No, the event handler issue does not prevent ElectriCraft from working or its networks from being constructed; it merely prevents them from ticking, which is essential for the wire melting (though in hindsight, I should maybe move that to on update).
The ChromatiCraft jar is overly large because I accidentally left in a lot of "constructing" textures, which probably account for about 40% of the size. They will be removed.
The various API issues are indeed caused by packaging old APIs, but some of the ones mentioned as having errors are the most updated versions, as of last week. @Optional is not an option, because it leads to NoSuchMethodErrors as soon as you try and call code which was specified by the interface. For example, if a machine implements IEnergyHandler, and then the RF API is not found, then the "canConnect" method is removed automatically, and the renderer, which also uses that method, will crash.
The Forestry thing is different; its registries appear to have changed incompatibly, though updating them is likely not going to be difficult. Also, I need to look into why that crashed the game as opposed to just killing the handler.
The BlockRegistry OOB is confusing, but I have seen that sort of thing happen with BC facades in older BC versions.
ChromatiCraft currently has no ingame documentation, but it will eventually do so. I do not want to make another handbook, as it does not feel appropriate for a magic mod.
Also, the Crystal Pylon MathHelper crash is caused by eclipse screwing up and getting confused over which MathHelper to use; for now, install CodeChickenLib.
I do not use liteloader and cannot comment on the issues, nor will I attempt to do so.
A fix will be out tonight for the affected mods, V1b.
Very sure! Forge 9.11.1.965, Buildcraft 4.2.2, DragonAPI 25z, Rotarycraft 25z. Unless I've missed something, those are the most-current versions of everything for 1.6.4, right?
Posted that yesterday, so... can I get some help, please?

If BC support for 1.6 is broken, it is going to remain that way forever. I have moved on to 1.7.10, and the MJ system is being removed from BC as we speak.
For those who like grinding while they grind:
Note: This is disabled by default.
I have not played with the extractor yet, and do not understand what I'm looking at. I see that the first stage now has a component that wears out. I cannot tell if it's increasing the yield, or what.

No, purely a maintenance mechanic I do not expect many to enjoy, but has been requested and is acceptable to add an option for.

I just tried using both the Pneumatic Engine and the Air Compressor. Both work as they are supposed to, as far as I can tell. Make sure that you're supplying the Pneumatic Engine with lubricant from the bottom.
What exactly are you trying to do that isn't working? Which blocks are trying to connect to what, and how much power is being delivered to them?
I downloaded DragonAPI and GeoStrata last night from the "Latest Downloads" section of your website, and I'm having a couple weird issues. The first is that it keeps telling me that there is a newer version available. The second, you'll see in the first screenshot below (along with the first problem)

Had the setup backwards, my bad. Carry on.
Also, I had a look at the bytecode of one of your event classes and a Forge event class, there's no defined zero-arg constructor in either of them. I also had a look through the code, I see what you mean about the construct inheritance, and I honestly don't know why Forge's events work and yours don't. Maybe it has something to do with when the event handler is being registered, since it's after game startup rather than in preInit or init. Perhaps Forge doesn't like that.
Oh, and is it possible in the future for you to just put your mods on a local server and make sure they load and function before doing a release? Because client class dependency crashes seem to be a common thing.
Has anyone tried running this on a server? I get the same crash with just DragonAPI on forge 1180 and 1208.

well thats how Lite Loader works, but it does change some stuff from Forge that can cause issues with other mods
Is there any way to stop it from doing that?
I also just tested with LiteLoader disabled, and other than the minimap (loaded by LiteLoader) being messed up, the other problem is still there. WAILA is also messed up when DragonAPI and GeoStrata are installed, as seen in this picture (to the right of the hotbar):

If BC support for 1.6 is broken, it is going to remain that way forever. I have moved on to 1.7.10, and the MJ system is being removed from BC as we speak.
BC is moving to a completely new power structure? Wow. That's the first I've heard of it!
I understand you've moved on for development, which is perfectly fine. Just, when you said the machines were working fine for you, I was trying to verify whether you were using a 1.7.10 world, or still playing in 1.6.4 since it's still more stable and more established. If I have to update to 1.7.10, I have no problem with that; I was just trying to find out if that was the case or not. I apologize for the confusion, but I still need that answer anyway!
Wait, what? The pneumatic engine's entry in the Rotarycraft in-game handbook says nothing about requiring lubricant.
I've got an RC steam engine running, into the back of an air compressor, trying to feed power into a BC kinesis pipe system. The air compressor takes in the shaft power just fine, animates, makes its sounds, and builds up pressure, but does not output any BC power.
As for the pneumatic engine, I've only tried that as a test, to see if it can convert energy the other way... in creative mode, set up a BC stirling engine with a bucket of lava, pointing into an RC pneumatic engine, which was pointing into a dynamometer to see its output. It wouldn't take in the stirling engine's output at all. Tried every speed, tried applying redstone, but nothing.
Edit: Tried supplying the pneumatic engine with lubricant, still nothing.

I've also found another problem, with Better World Gen 4, Reika mods cause immortality when they are separated immortality disappears.

Yh i get the same crash
BC is moving to a completely new power structure? Wow. That's the first I've heard of it!
I understand you've moved on for development, which is perfectly fine. Just, when you said the machines were working fine for you, I was trying to verify whether you were using a 1.7.10 world, or still playing in 1.6.4 since it's still more stable and more established. If I have to update to 1.7.10, I have no problem with that; I was just trying to find out if that was the case or not. I apologize for the confusion, but I still need that answer anyway!
I don't expect support. I just thought this might have been a problem that had been fixed previously, and I had just been unable to find that fix.
Yes, RF killed MJ.
I am going to fix this in v1b.
Abrar says that ASM is probably involved, so now all bets are off. I would submit this as an issue request, but I want to ensure it is both my fault and not fixed in newer versions before doing so.
