The infant being hostile is still a pretty dangerous aspect, but if you must maybe make them go into "testosterone/estrogen" mode for pinkies? They'll become aggressive to everything for a short period then revert back to being your tamed pet? That will add a sort of more nature-esque aspect to it.
Also, ooze seems interesting, though you remember my previous notion about the tear water? The shade also kind of reminds me of the violator's demon form from Spawn.
Last, please people do not post the entire post of Lycanite's, clip it. Without it being clipped it technically can be considered spam, especially if your response is only one word.
Yes looked it up, chaos serpent does look very similar to the violator. The violator is skinnier, has a hunch, and has a massive horn jutting from his back instead of the multiple spines.

Sounds like a good idea! So once tamed Pinkies and Chupacabras are bred they will become hostile for 5 minutes after their child has grown up or is removed from them. Their child will be untamed too. This should keep the challenge of Pinky farming because if the player could get two tamed Pinkies and just breed tamed ones from there, Pinky farming would be far too easy.
Lycanite, would you mind double-checking that fix you put in to prevent the crash from checking for an invalid topside on a block? I believe it is staying set causing all mobs that spawn from events to be cancelled after it hits that check.
If I start a new world, event spawns work fine, I can start them repeatedly without issue. If I then import my built up area into that new world, then I can get maybe one or two events to spawn mobs properly before they stop appearing. Exiting the world and reloading it fixes it for another event or two, after which they stop spawning again until the next restart.

I'm going to be changing how the configs work soon, there will be two folders config/lycanitesmobs/default and config/lycanitesmobs/user, the default will work like how the configs work now where it will need to reset every now and again when some important changes are made to the defaults. The user configs however will never be reset and will take priority over the defaults. The user folder will contain empty configs by default and they will need to have settings copied over from the default configs.
So with the new config system, you can do temporary changes to the default configs and expect them to be overridden in the future such as balancing an overpowered mob that going to be fixed in the next update. For more permanent config settings such as a mob events schedule or disabled mobs, this can be added to the user configs by copying any needed settings over from the default configs. I might look into having it so that the user can add whatever config filenames they want too such as config/lycanitesmobs/user/mob-nerfs.cfg or config/lycanitesmobs/user/mod-food.cfg.

LOL...but they would prefer cows,sheep, and pigs first!! So if you don't have enough animals around to keep them busy they will go after their baby!! And the babies would have to prefer human flesh so they would go after you so you get a chance to tame it, or I would think they would all clutter around the animals and you'll never tame it before it dies or you kill all adults just to save a baby O_o

I do not have anything affecting spawns. The only mods I have installed that affect mobs is yours and the new Thaumcraft Elite mobs. As for worldgen, I do have quite a few adding blocks/structures/ores.

Sounds like a cool idea but a species that always eats its young after reproducing doesn't really sound like a species that would make it anywhere. There are a lot of animals that do eat their young but not all the time, etc.
Hello Mr. Lycanite i have a ?bug? at the moment with FrostFire that burns for ever when it is about a snow block and course hug lag. I had to disable it now but did you change the code for the Frostfire?
Hmm I'll take a look into Frostfire spreading. it should stay on snow blocks but not snow layers or ice, it should spread across all those blocks too. Hmm perhaps it shouldn't spread across snow blocks like how fire doesn't spread across netherrack.
The Frostfire code was done by copying the Fire code, rewriting it and changing/tidying a lot of things. Check out th emod source code on GitHub to see how I've done it.

Major Bug Fix: Vespid Queens have a chance of starting an infinite loop when checking if they should naturally despawn or not, this has been fixed.
Improvement: All life draining attacks are now scaled by a mob's effect stat. This means that they will drain less health when on Easy Difficulty, more on Hard and their health draining can be changed via the config using the Effect Multiplier and Boost settings.
Balancing: Increased the hit box sizes of the Abtu and Gorgomite to match up with their model sizes correctly.

If your afraid of the breeding aspect being abusable, it would be better to make tamed mobs breedable with treats. Therefore, you'd have to "exchange" one type of good for another.
Which in reality, trade hellfire charges for pinkymeat isn't the best trade. I think breeding with treats would be the best bet for the situation, maybe even make it like taming a mob. "Your erepede wants more!" "Your erepede is very happy!!" When both parent erepedes are like that they will breed.
