Recipe Idea, had no one actually this idea before? o_o
1 Wool => 4 Strings
Why?
There is allready a recipe where you use 4 Strings to make 1 Wool, so my thoughts, why not reverse it? You should be able also to get Strings out of Wool. Getting Strings is a pain, because you only get them by destroying Webs or killing Spiders or you just find them randomly in Chests or as tripwire in Jungle Temples. Getting Wool is instead pretty easy, it would also make Wool more usefull for people who need Strings.
Thought it's just an idea, but i think it would be usefull 8D and i would love to see it happen aswell.
When it comes to ID conflict, Minecraft 1.7.10 resolves the problem by not using number IDs.
Unfortunately, if I add a recipe to turn a wool into 4 strings, it would make it too easy to make spider-silk armour or even more cobwebs, which wouldn't make sense.
And go ahead, you can make improved versions of textures. I'm looking into improved cake slice and apple pie textures too. (It should fit Minecraft theme.)
As far as I've known, every block and item have 16x16 textures.
Can you make changeable IDs? This mod simply doesn't work with Mc Madness as they use same IDs (I don't remember but seems that are 201-203) and it's impossible to change MCMadness IDs due to unexisting mc madness config. Both mods are great, I think this is better but MC Madness is good too. There is one more mod with same IDs: seems this is Hazuzu but this can be Uberness. I don't know those mods creators so I can't write to those mods forums so I posted this message here.
P. S. Sorry for my English... It isn't my main language.
Apologies about the lack of updates. I had been so busy lately.
1.8 will eventually come if I could figure out how to port the code properly. Seeing as Forge for 1.8.8 finally came out, I'll try my best. But I'll probably make one more patch for the mod for 1.7.10 before I can work on 1.8.8 version of the mod.
Due to the massive code changes, it can take weeks.
I'm pleased to announce that version 2.7.3 of MoreCraft has been released! This is most likely the final patch for Minecraft 1.7.10 as I want to eventually move on to building the mod in Minecraft 1.8.8.
Unfortunately, I've been unable to fix the incorrect Netherwood chest texture when held in inventory. I can't also get the Netherwood saplings to be plantable in flower pots. This might be resolved in 1.8.8.
Fortunately, I've managed to tweak some things and I did add bone ladders, bone doors, and glowstone torches!
Could you also possibly add more configuration? Like ability to disable things such as Ruby Ore and so on? (also for 1.7.10 atleast?)
Also, change the Config File name from BetterCraft to MoreCraft, it might be confusing sometime when people are looking for the config file and it doesn't has the same name like the mod has.. Also, you were using some wierd symbol which comes out for me like this:
I've retraced and ah yes, found the issue with the doors.
I intend the mod to make use of MalisisDoors and such mod would be optional but apparently, I need to resolve the issues. Maybe one more patch, would be 2.7.4. I can't rename BetterCraft to MoreCraft as it would render saves incompatible. However, I'll rename it in 1.8.9.
As for weird symbol, it has something to do with using different Forge version.
Then after that, I'll work on bringing the mod over to 1.8.9 and possibly 1.9.4. It's long overdue and I want to do it.
Look at you. Inventing aspects the creators thought was good enough to add to vanilla (slime & bone blocks and enderbricks). Hopefully they get around to the extra mob heads too.
Unfortunately, mod 1.10.2 isn't going to come for quite a while.
Updating from 1.7.10 to 1.8.9 is quite a chore. I'd have to go through over 100 items and a lot of blocks and I'll have to update the code. It's why I can't update to 1.9.4 yet.
But when it comes, I'll try to integrate more of the newer stuff in 1.8 and beyond in the mod.
I am actually still missing the small little thing in the config where you can turn of the generation of Ruby Ore. If it was possible, i would love to have that feature in the config in 1.7.10 and above.
MoreCraft is now updated for Minecraft 1.8.9! That means some of the newer stuff are now integrated and some of the blocks and items are removed from the mod because vanilla Minecraft has them.
It's been a long journey and there are still some bugs left. I'll update the source code on GitHub and then if you want to help me with fixing some bugs, go ahead. I would like those bugs/issues fixed and I would gladly appreciate it if those could be done, hopefully by version 2.8.1 of the mod. Only by fixing most of the issues below can then I start the port to 1.9.4 and finally 1.10.2.
Netherwood and Ender Brick Slabs not turning into full blocks unlike the vanilla slabs.
Netherwood Chest is invisible in inventory.
Netherwood Saplings cannot be planted into plant pots.
Enderdragon Scale Armour doesn't render on armour stands and mobs.
Slime Armour had self-repair disabled and I'm still looking to fix it.

I need some help please.
i can't find the "bettercraft.cfg" is not in de config folder, my minecraft vesion is 1.6.4 if that helps
I'm revamping the first post to be cleaner. Many of the data will be moved to the Guide.
Updating the mod from 1.7.10 to 1.8 will take a long time and it's difficult as a lot of internal code has changed.
I'm afraid there's no config file for 1.6.4. Sorry! I've lost the source code for 1.6.4 so I can't make a patch. I recommend using 1.7.10.
It's probably better to stay in 1.7.10, 1.8 has proved to be slower for a good number of people, and most feature have been back-ported.
Mod author. Too lazy to list mods, go here instead.
Help out the Official FTB Wiki reach a billion pages! (I keep having to update this, so let's just make it a billion)

I loved this mod because you can eat spiders [yuck but cool]

Oh wait, Im such an idiot! thanks, this mod is amazing!
Will There Be A 1.8 Version Or No?
