Hi Mdiyo - always loved the mod but came across something a bit peculiar (unless I'm doing something wrong here) - I'm playing on Bevo's Tech Pack and tried to add a flux modifier to a pickaxe - I was using the potato as I did in 1.6.4, I noticed the RF storage had dropped considerably - I guessed that you had changed it so that the RF storage was dependant on the capacitor added - this was confirmed when I tested in creative (great change in my opinion)
I noticed the tool did look a bit odd at the time... it looked like a potato,I guessed you had also changed the tools appearance based on the flux modifier added - so I grinded for a resonant flux capacitor and was going to add it - see I'm going to get 10m RF (sweet) but the appearance of the tool still looks the same as when you put a potato on it. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but I'm kind of hoping it is.
I assume you added it to the same tool, so the old flux is still there, since it already had a texture for flux it wont change it, you'd have to make a new tool and put the new capacitor on it. Also you can use cells if you want, so if another resonant capacitor is too expensive, a redstone energy cell has the same amount if energy, or if you just have tons of ender pearls and shiny metal you could make a resonant cell and have 50m RF on your picaxe! @_@
I thought of that but sadly this is not the case - I tested the capacitors in a creative world and minus the hammer - all had this strange potato texture

Oh, it does look like a potato, I hadnt really noticed on my pick and cutlass, I just thought it was gold like the redstone capacitor I put on it. That is a little strange. Sorry, I got nothin'
All our players are not able to put down a tool station or pattern chest without the client crashing. The server doesn't crash though. Once they log back in the station is in place and able to be used.

In The 1.7.10 version the textures are blank for most items, the tables don't open their GUI and I get a crash upon opening the TConstruct Tools Creative tab.

Downgrade your Java. 1.8 doesn't play nice with Minecraft. 1.7 does however; so do that and try again.

i have same problem.
Disabling mods one at a time i found that this problem is caused by Botania. Updating Botania to latest build fix this problem, but only in new world. in old worlds, the problem remains

Ah good to know. I do use Botania.....I don't think creating a new world is an option for me. Maybe a fix will come that corrects this. Would this issue be Botania or Tinkers error? I ask because I will reach out to the Botania dev if so.

Um, I'm no expert at reading these, but that mentions liteloder and no other mod in the first bit that tells about the problem, and it looks like it has to do with playing the sound of footsteps? I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem to be saying anything about tinker's, so maybe try asking liteloder?

Yes, if you look in your/an inventory and hover over the Pattern/Cast in question, it'll say right there in the tooltip how much of a material it costs to make. Large Plates have a material cost of 8.

I assume you added it to the same tool, so the old flux is still there, since it already had a texture for flux it wont change it, you'd have to make a new tool and put the new capacitor on it. Also you can use cells if you want, so if another resonant capacitor is too expensive, a redstone energy cell has the same amount if energy, or if you just have tons of ender pearls and shiny metal you could make a resonant cell and have 50m RF on your picaxe! @_@
Oh, it does look like a potato, I hadnt really noticed on my pick and cutlass, I just thought it was gold like the redstone capacitor I put on it. That is a little strange. Sorry, I got nothin'

i have same problem.
Disabling mods one at a time i found that this problem is caused by Botania. Updating Botania to latest build fix this problem, but only in new world. in old worlds, the problem remains

Curse PremiumAh good to know. I do use Botania.....I don't think creating a new world is an option for me. Maybe a fix will come that corrects this. Would this issue be Botania or Tinkers error? I ask because I will reach out to the Botania dev if so.

I'm really hating these forums... I believe I was telling you that you need to downgrade your Java to Java 7. Java 8 and Minecraft don't play well together .
Um, I'm no expert at reading these, but that mentions liteloder and no other mod in the first bit that tells about the problem, and it looks like it has to do with playing the sound of footsteps? I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem to be saying anything about tinker's, so maybe try asking liteloder?

Only if you're patient and don't ask about it too much. Just because there's a test Forge coming out, doesn't mean it'll be ready any time soon.

Yes, if you look in your/an inventory and hover over the Pattern/Cast in question, it'll say right there in the tooltip how much of a material it costs to make. Large Plates have a material cost of 8.
