Hey everyone. So I am finally really close to getting my shaders/optifine combo set up, But theres something bout my setup thats very annoying. Whenever I move the shadows will change. So it almost seems as if there are different shadows acording to where Im standing. And it causes a very odd sort of flickering effect. From what I can tell its either Open GL or multi core rendering thats causing it, But I dont have those options. And others have suggested taking some of chocapics, or KUDAS files. But I didnt even bother because they do the same thing. Any help would be appreciated.
The video provides a better explanation. It becomes pretty much unplayable for me. It happens on all of the big shader packs. Tried changing most of the settings. Havnt yet found a fix. Otherwise everything looks great, runs great and isnt too hard on my eyes.

I Think That's A Missing Block Render So The Sunlight Is Able To Go Through..
I removed optifine and then it works thanx. But with shaders on ( Seus ) it looks bad. Everything is completely yellow , so I removed shaders mod.
Ok thanx. I am using 1.8.0 HD_U_D3. Would test D1 , but like I said above with shaders on the game looks very ugly yellow. So don't think I will
use shaders. Don't know if it is the resource pack I am using ( Lithos ) or the specific shaders pack ( Seus ) or this shaders mod itself that causes it , but it looks terrible.
EDIT: Tested with optifine 1.8.0_U_D1. Doesn't fix the problem. Also have blanked out menu items same as D3
When I run this with Optifine through Forge I get white rectangles where there should be text
You can use Optifine 1.8 HD U D1 or D2, but not D3 (it is broken ATM).
Make sure that Anisotropic Filtering, and Antialiasing are disabled in 1.8. Both are broken as well. You could previously in 1.7.10 use AF, but not in 1.8 right now.
Best bet, is to use Optifine 1.8 HD U D2 & ShadersMod 2.4.11 for MC 1.8. Delete options.txt, optionsof.txt, and optionsshaders.txt from the %appdata%\.minecraft folder, they will be recreated with default settings.
Setup your MC the way you like it, turn on USE VBOs. Most of the defaults are fine otherwise. Do not touch render/view distance, anisotropic filtering, or antialiasing! You can change the hand depth in shaders to 0.0625, used to fix some hand-held items glitches.
Hey. So I have a huge issue. In the 1.7.10 version of minecraft with Forge version 10.13.3.1395, when trying to start up the game, it always crashes with the exit code 255. Now, I tried 1.8 with Forge version 11.14.1.1390, there lies quite a bit more drastic issue. I am able to start up the game to the main menu and even create a world, but when I try to select any shaderpack in the Shaders option, everything freezes and my mouse is unable to select anything. The monitor then goes to the "No Signal" page for a second, flashes back into the desktop (still unable to select anything), and then repeats that until I have to hold my power key for 5 seconds to hard shut down the device. The only section of code I'm able to see is "{Error}..." and the last three things in the crash log that reads "1, -1".
I've already established that OpenGL is not the issue because programs like the Half Life and Portal series all run fine (games coded in OpenGL on the Source engine). I have absolutely no idea what is going on, but this has happened with every single shaderpack, every single version of minecraft, and every single time I try to run a shaderpack. I will continue to investigate further into the problem, but I'm absolutely bewildered. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. My specs are listed below...
Can you provide logs? It helps A LOT I can only guess right now, for the 1.7 version your either using an old version of the shaders mod, using other mods it's not compatible with or try down/upgrading your Forge version. The 1.8 version it sounds like you need to update your graphic drivers or maybe your graphics card just ins't supported at all. (I know nothing about AMD graphic cards since I have to use Nvidia for work)
But logs are key right now.

And because I had to hard shut down during the 1.8 loading of the shaders, there is no crash-report.
Also, which log from the logs folder do you want me to post? It is split into different files including fml-client-1.log, shadersmod.log, latest.log, 2015.05.05-1.log.gz, etc (same for both versions).
BTW: Before I switched my OS (also a version of Ubuntu), it worked flawlessly! Both are distibutions off of 14.04 too, so I would doubt that it is the different OS that's crashing the game. But then again, anything's possible I guess.
Edit: It turns out that only Sildur's v1.06 has that weird "[ERROR] Reset model renders... 1,-1", but all other shaders have an invalid program composite and a completely black world with (if the shaderpack has them) shader-included clouds.

Ok I can't be sure but I googled the crash and a few things came up all referring to Optifine or FastCraft so if you have either of them try disabling it and see if it starts up. (I say disable it because Optifine has a lot of problems with Shaders usually so if it starts up when disabled we know it's an Optifine problem instead of trying to upgrade/downgrade it xD)
As for 1.8, usually the information is in fml-client-latest.log I think.
The 1.7.10 version now loads into the game and does everything that 1.8 does ATM. I did, however get to read exactly what the live log was saying as this was happening:
EE ../../../../../../src/gallium/drivers/r600/r600_shaders.c:157r600_pipe_shader_create-translation from TGSI failed!
As for the "fml-client-latest.log" I had to put it in a pastebin. It is 31,152 words long and 373,859 characters long. Yeah, I don't suggest reading it...
Choose the auto detect one it should get the latest driver for you, I have no idea how to check driver versions on Ubuntu but there is nothing wrong with reinstalling drivers.
Yay! Turns out that I had the right fglrx-core driver (the base for the full driver), but my actual driver, was made 2 years ago... yeah... let's never speak of this again... :/ Thanks so much for your help! Have a nice day!

Should be working at that point.

Karyonix is busy with IRL stuff ATM.
Hopefully we will see a quick fix for the issue, if it is a quick fix, Optifine went under some pretty hefty changes. All of the stuff from 1.8.3 and 1.8.4 was backported.
Karyonix mentioned he plans on Deobfuscating 1.8.4 manually like sp614x did for OF. Seeing as we don't know when MCP is going to update.. I get the feeling they are waiting for 1.9 to roll around.
Where is the link that I click to get the mod.....also know as the adfly link.
Where is the link to download?

What exactly is that (as a part of shaders)? Would you know a fix for that?
minecraft 1.8 is already compatable with 1.8.4
install shaders mod. use 1.8 like usual. log in on your 1.8.4 server. works like a charm.
I'm a gamer! I have lots of Lives!
Not a server, a Realm. No cross-compatibility with Realms.
Everfree Server - A small & friendly survival build server for older 'Crafters.
Maybe if we can have some biome detection, then things will be fixed?
