So whenever I try to use the 1.7.10 version of this mod this happens....
I've tried using Multimc, Regular Minecraft, the auto-installer, manually installing it, and different versions of Forge and nothing works..
The mod seems to be working fine besides the really annoying black box, and not showing the mob in the portrait...
does anyone know if i use this mod in 1.8 forge, will it still work fine? because i might jut get 1.7.10 forge again if it doesnt, just tryin to save some time

I don't know what the little thing in the bottom left corner is called but i know it tells you if the mob is hostile or not but i saw this:
and yes this is from the The Dimond Minecart
TDM uses CustomNPCs for Trayaurus because you can't rename villagers with name tags. All mobs from CustomNPCs will show be shown as a gold dragon (boss) because you can customise it to be hostile, give quests, give armor and do different trades and whatnot.
Hope this helps.
EDIT: I hope rich will update it to 1.8 as fast as he could. There is a HUGE mod out there that is 1.8..
Is this compatible with 1.8? If not, could you please update maybe?
It might be a lot to ask, but I like this mod very much but any other Forge version than 1.8 won't run on my laptop.
Pleasee...
Asking for an update is against forum rules. He is probably busy with other things than this mod. If you want to use this mod you will have to use 1.7.10.

i never used to crash with this mod and i remember using it about a week ago and it worked fine without crashing and i havnt changed anything with my game and i tried getting rid of all the things to do with the mod i tried redownloading it too
Great mod. I used all the time in my 1.7 modded survival and loved it. Great job. I am going to add this to my 1.8 modded survival the send it updates. I know that sounds unbelievable but a few mods like nei have already updated to forge 1.8. Anyways still a great mod. Should be in minecraft itself .
Did you ever get around to fixing this issue? I'm having the same problem as well. I used a custom skin and that fixed the portrait part of it, but there is still the annoying black box that appears around the whole thing.

Strange issue, have you tried ticking the high compatibility rendering box and the alternate rendering method box?
the game had been running fine for like 5-6 hours and then suddenly crashed when i was staring at a wall. http://pastebin.com/T6xAWfH7
Hmm, that particular crash seems like an impossibility, unless another mod is removing entities dangerously. From here it appears to be an issue with another mod, but let me know if it continues.

No, it relies on Forge's API that Vanilla Minecraft simply can't produce, or we would have seen it already.

I do believe I saw one but I'm waiting for this one to updated

Just an update to Minecraft v1.8

Delete your DamageIndicators config. It is corrupt.
