I noticed that the most recent version of BoP is a beta from July 21st; are there bugs or other things that are keeping it from getting a legitimate R status?
I'm getting ready to update a modded server and this is one of the core mods we use heavily. I'd hate to have to find other options or start the map over completely.
So, Im playing with this mod and with JourneyMap, and Im wondering. Is JourneyMap affecting Biomes O' Plenty? I didn't find any unique biomes from the mod. Then again, I didn't search too much, but Im still curious if it can affect it in a bad way since Im not sure if it shows modded biomes too.
Hey folks. Getting back into MC after a few years, and building a 1.7.10 pack for old times' sake. Everything is working smoothly except the flower trails in Biomes O' Plenty, which I find annoying when trying to build. Does anyone know if there's a way to disable them? I can't seem to find an option for it in the configs except in the "main" file, where I see "Trail Version". I've tried several values here including -1, 0, 1, and 2 without success. For reference, I'm using version 2.1.0.
Additionally, I see on the GitHub that the trails were added in version 2.0.2 for donators and helpers, in lieu of capes. I'm not sure that I ever donated or helped with the mod, but who knows, maybe I did one day. This leads me to believe that if I load this instance on another account (which I don't have) the problem will be solved. I'd prefer a way to disable them on my current account, however.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them. Thanks!
EDIT: I just tried loading the instance in offline mode, which did not disable the trails. Didn't think it would since my skin was also rendering, but it was worth a shot.
Odd I am messing around with All The Mods 3 and when I went into the nether none of the nether biomes appear to be working. The mod pack is 1.12 and they are using the most recent version for that 1.12. I noticed in the biome_ids.json there is no listing for nether biomes.
Is there no way to choose which biomes you dont want to spawn anymore with 1.12?
I havent played Minecraft in awhile, but I remember being able to set biomes not to spawn in the old config.
In the Config folder, there should be a Biomes O Plenty folder. Click on that, then open biome_ids.json . Find the biome you don't want to spawn, then set its id to -1. That should work.
Put mod file in the 'mod' folder, go to "Create new world" > "More World options", change "World Type" from "Default" to "Biomes o'Plenty", create new world, play.
Hi! My question is about the rate of spawn of certain biomes.
I'm playing with minecraft 1.10.2 and I was trying to find biomes like Sacred Spring or Mystic Grooves, but I cannot find them. I've already tried the command /bop tpbiome X to teleport to the biomes I want, but the message I get is "Could Not Find Biome Mystic Grooves!", which means that there is not such a biome within 10,000 blocks of my position.
So, I would like to know if I can change the rate of generation of certain biomes. I saw that you can create specific config files for each biome, where you can for example, disable the gem spawning. But I cannot find a way to increase or decrease the rate of generation of biomes. Any idea? Thank you!
PS. I'm sorry if this question was already made before, this thread is too long to read it from the beggining...
Edit: also, I checked the biomes_ids.json file and the biomes I want are not disabled

Ok, thanks
What program do I use to open a .json file? Just wordpad?
So I see here that it says 1.11.2, but I would like to ask officially. Does this run on 1.12? I have it setup with a bundle of mods in 1.10.2 but I am rebuilding my choice of mods to update to the new features, and I enjoy using this paticular mod with my RGP Style of play. Any insight or reply of yes or no would be appreciated. I saw a user who noted a crash after 9 minutes, so I just wanted to be certain. Thanks in advance!

Forstride has plans for making an all-mobs mod, so I doubt any more will be added to Bop.
I hope it's okay that I spilled that.
Ah, got it! I was initially curious about this after looking at some of the cooler biomes in the mod and wondering what kind of critters could inhabit them, but it's totally fine with me if no more mobs are being added; BoP is already spectacular as it stands XD
I'll keep a good eye on this all-mobs mod Forstride has plans for, too
BoP Team, are you going to implement specific chest colours and boats too?
I'd love chest specific colors as well, Quark does this for vanilla. @robijnvogel I can make textures for this if you want to implement it, send me a PM if you're interested.

Uh huh. I didn't even knew that was a thing...well, I didn't. I will do another one with it, maybe that will help.
Well crap. Thanks for letting me know, Robijnvogel.
EDIT: They aren't particles, or aren't affected by the particles setting, at any rate. Looks like I'm stuck with them. Oh well.

There are beta builds for 1.12 on curseforge: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/biomes-o-plenty
Danke!
Thanks Rob
Bop Team pls add the dunes again this was a adventourous biome
No pressure to add it, but are there any plans of adding any more mobs in the future of the mod?
