I say try it out and let us know. I recommend using forge 2282. If you use 2228 biomesoplenty will not work properly and will crash eventually.
I also don't think the will make backports. They keep moving on and adapt to the new minecraft version. You should do the same. Why would you stay on an old version? It takes alot of time to dev this mod and they do this in their free time as a hobby. So they can use that time to increase performance/ adding new stuff etc etc or to make backports. Making a backport requires more then only a few klicks. There are parts where the code is very different and has to be changed.
It was just a question. I wasn't at all rude about it. I didn't whine or complain. I have a tremendous amount of respect for mod creators. It was a very simple inquiry.
1.10.2 is finally getting to be a big haven for familiar mods, with more stabilization every day. Actually, my favorite mods are almost all there :-) That's why I usually wait to update. When you play with a bunch of mods, it's either that or lose a great deal of gameplay that I enjoy. So, since I adore BoP, I was just curious if that particular feature was ever going to be reenabled for that version. No need to get abrasive.
This has probably been asked before, but will The End receive more biomes as well? I hate how lackluster it is.

The problem with putting anything in the End is the dragon. The Ruins mod puts structures there, and in previous games I've seen those get swatted. (This game I was flying, so the dragon didn't spend much time near ground level). Of course, the outer City islands are fairly safe.

I did some CraftTweaker scripts for Mystical Agriculture. They fill in a couple of small gaps in MA, and also let you make or duplicate not only vanilla plants, but the blocks, plants and wood from Quark and Biomes O'Plenty. Also spawn eggs for most vanilla mobs! The scripts are here on Github.
My apoligies if you think i was upset/angry or whatever. I was only answering your question and providing information. For some reason people mostly think i am answering with lots of anger and frustation, but i asure you this isn't the case at al. I'm most of the time happy and also typing/answering that way :-) I'm not native to English and my vocabular isn't quite that good, perhaps that's why i sound like this hehe.
I'm really not a bad guy, so again my apologies. Maybe i should write more smileys in my posts :-)
lol Oh yeah, when all else fails, count on everyone today sticking smiley faces everywhere they can!
No worries bud :-) <-----HAH!.
Text is absolutely horrible for proper communication. It's totally fine - simple misunderstanding.
For the record, your english is very very good. I wouldn't have guessed it's not your first language. Well done!
Use the latest Forge version for 1.11.2, BoP is usually built using the latest Forge as the recommended Forge version is hardly ever bumped by LexManos

Yeah, that's what I meant. The outer endlands are so barren and boring. It would greatly benefit from new biomes. And I see there's new end blocks also, but I've never seen them appear anywhere in-game.

At least two of them appear underneath the End Islands: Ender Amethyst and Biome Essence Ore. I have no idea how someone's supposed to get them if they don't have some other mod providing flight (with hovering, the elytra won't cut it there!). I usually do, and even then getting at them is nerve-wracking. (I do not like hanging out 10 blocks above the open Void....)

Out of curiosity, does anyone know why the Promised Land was discontinued? It seems to me that the added gemstones' only purpose was to reach the Promised Land, but they weren't removed from the mod when the dimension was. Not that I don't like some of them, was just wondering about the reason if there was one.
As of BOP For 1.7.2, the Promised Land is no longer in game, this sparked controversy throughout r/Biomesoplenty and the modding community, however it was removed because it created too much lag. Many of the blocks in the biomes have been removed or have no use. However the developers have since returned the use for stuff such as Celestial Crystals and Amethyst in the End.
They were unused anyway, so I can't say I'm surprised.
And coloring the limestone bright green ("lime") was just a bad joke.

I am pretty sure i have seen them ingame before. Maybe in older version.
On the other side the polished versions of them were unobtaineble in survival!
Also i always used RTG(realistic terrain generator), perhaps that mods adds them into the world.
Crag Rock has been in survival for 100% sure. Because there was a crag biome.
Probably in older version. Crag Rock was just replaced by, iirc, Overgrown Stone.

Realized somebody wasn't talking to me. Haha.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll just live without it till enough of my other mods are updated.

@GumaSamu, change Optifine version, not Forge Look here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1272953-optifine-hd-b7-fps-boost-dynamic-lights-shaders?comment=53770

Just curious, are there any updated resource packs for BoP? I love the additional woods it adds but the textures on them aren't the greatest.

Greetings.
Thanks for letting me know.

I've made a 32x one that I use with my personal mod pack but I can upload it if you're interested.
I use polished shale in builds.
Really? When I said unused, I meant they were unobtainable in survival mode. Am I wrong?
