Well, it is updated, but the actual 1.8 Forge is in a closed beta -rumored to be out by early 2015- and the Forge Mod Loader (Masquerading as the real Forge) for 1.8 beta versions can be downloaded from the site, provided you get the right link to it. Plus, AbrarSyed is still on here occasionally, why doesn't he update the mod or force close the thread?
Yeah, but until there's an official version out, most of the major mod makers won't be updating. Not to mention(sorry for going off-topic) the Orespawn mod is practically dead. It's stuck in 1.6.2 and seems like it won't update(no recent posts from the mod-makers.

I am a member of the MinecraftForge team. Between helping with the Forge update, helping with sponge, and IRL school and stuff, I haven't had time to work on this mod, either to add features or fix bugs. The mod is OpenSource, so if anyone feels they can help in any way, feel free to make a pull request.
As far as a 1.7.10 recommended edition. I really wanted to get through my anti-camo stuff features before releasing the recommended. Thats unlikely to happen with my current schedule. That being said.. the current beta for 1.7.10 is working mostly fine except for the odd error. So you can use that.
As far as 1.8 goes... This mod depends on the MinecraftForge, and cannot update until a a version of Forge is available for 1.8. As a member of the MinecraftForge team, I can say that the rumors of a MinecraftForge beta release are not true. Forge is still being worked on for 1.8, an will not be ready for at least a week yet.
As for pictures and screenshots.. This mod is camouflage. A picture wont tell you much. Thats why there is an embedded video.

So can someone explain to me how the secret redstone works? Is it like putting down a line of redstone or like a block of redstone. I am having trouble with it as i thought it would be more like a like of redstone so that i could incorporate it into my ship deck and not have anything exposed.

Yeah, it's like a line of redstone. You have to have it on the same level as your buttons and stuff so it connects. You'll still have to use regular repeaters to refresh the signal, however.

It's best you use the secret redstone in a line and not a filled square, otherwise the output will go crazy

That is my intention however i have a loop with repeater and a comparator with one output so that when the lever is on it loops the signal. Now if i use this out put line and run it into secret redstone all the way to my endpoint, which is a dispenser (this may be the issue) it only fires once. If i use regular redstone, then it loops and fires repeatedly. If i put a redstone lamp on the end instead of a dispenser then it flashed like it should. Is this an issue with dispensers?
Its probably too late now.. but you should use an updated version of SecretRoomsMod that uses the block names instead of the IDs for whats bieng copied. Best thing to do now is to break and re-place your secret blocks.

Have you been able to play before or is this new? My server has worked fine forever and yesterday, with no changes made to the server no one can log on. someone logs on for a split second and gets kicked. no crash report and the only error given is
"Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Java.io.IOException: Packet was larger then I expected, found 33236 bytes extra whilst reading packet 53"
that's it, nothing in the log, nothing in the crash report since nothing is crashing. the server is running and the client just gets kicked. I think it has something to do with this mod since in the FML log, this is the last mod mentioned before the kick

Yep, sponges are back. Love it. I can now clean out a temple with it and explore.
