You likely just aren't waiting long enough. It doesn't replenish every time a sheep eats.
What? Is that what happens?
I always thought when sheeps eat grass, the fibres in the grass spin themselves in the sheeps organ (that shall not be named).
Afterwards, the sheep poops out the spunned fibres.
Then the sheep turns around because it can't 360 no scope MLG PRO and can only go 180.
There lies the poop, and by seeing this poop the sheep's eyes tell it's brain
"Hey, you seein' this?"
The brain immidiately realises that the grass the sheep ate had it's shaving cream.
So it outgrows it's wool in search of new shaving cream.
-Added a significant upgrade to Hardcore Of Darkness. You'll know it when you see it, but it is really of course absolutely nothing to ever worry about in the teensy weensy little bit very least, particularly not because this release just happens to fall totally randomly in the most startling of coincidences on Halloween. Thinking otherwise would just be symptomatic of rampant paranoia, and thus should be avoided at all costs. Honest.
-Added the ability to dye wolf collars with Dung, because...you know...who am I to discourage people from rubbing Dung all over their pets?
-Changed the way player healing works so that it only stops due to hunger once you hit the "Peckish" state.
-Fixed problem where Concentrated Hellfire Beacons were no longer functioning in the previous release.
-Fixed problem with gravel and sand slabs acting weird when placed on cactus.
-Fixed problem where Mining Charges destroyed by Powder Keg explosions would leave "ghost entities".
-Fixed problem where cooking Cookie Dough in the furnace would produce 8 cookies for the first dough item, but only 1 cookie for additional items.
-Fixed some oddities with how redstone repeaters behaved on Turntables.
Enjoy!

Just out of interest- why 'Hardcore Of Darkness' when your other features are named 'Hardcore Bedding', 'Hardcore Information'? Whats the significance of the Of?

A mighty machine built within the wake
Of a long dead dream, little demon awake
The citizens sleep, never quite knowing when
The device will reawaken, hungry again.

Hey, FlowerChild?
I think I have symptoms of rampant paranoia
Its been a while since I last saw something so eerily beautiful in a game. I just sat there transfixed with your siren song oblivious to everything else.
Well done. Well done indeed.

Hehe...thanks man. Yeah, I witnessed some pretty stunning moments while testing it. Sunrises and sunsets being amongst some of my favorites

Heart(s) Of Darkness reference? No? Ah well, I tried
@FC - gloom issue is better but still present. i have a large building where all the hallways have perfect lighting to stop gloom (cuz of the speed loss). with newest ver, i get gloom now in the center 2 blocks of every patch of darkness.
That's not an issue. The way gloom works has changed and thus stuff like that won't remain the same.
The thing I fixed had more to do with areas that weren't actually in darkness applying the Gloom affect. I won't get into details beyond that as it'll ultimately involve spoilers.
Quote from AzDroneX»The only thing that matters is if FC reads it and thinks "that's dumb and it'd take hours to implement" or "that's true and it'd be a simple thing to address", or whatever might be in-between. Obviously, both are valid conclusions depending on his personal vision for the game, his development constraints, and his own preferences.
Quote from AzDroneX»As players, it's not our job to try to convince him (or anyone else) about what's best for his own game; our role as a player shouldn't go beyond offering potentially useful feedback, based on our firsthand experiences. I'm unsure why you would feel otherwise.
Whatever FC does or doesn't do is out of your hands, as it should be. If the players could directly control the game's development, the game wouldn't be worth playing. I feel confident that whatever FC does in the future, it'll be something he decided on his own, and won't be a result of someone with less knowledge of the game than him (which is everyone) arguing with him about it.

Lmao, beautiful. First sheep, then wolves... perhaps next time, ourselves? Steve would probably like that, though.

I want to highlight this so it's harder for potential patrons to inadvertently skim past without noticing. You deserve it man. All these releases are coming at a breakneck pace, and the content is as consistently stellar as it ever was.
To other users: On PayPal's site, I'd advise changing the option from your bank account to your credit card. Your bank account is the default payment method regardless of what settings you change on your PayPal account, but it (apparently) takes up to a week to clear (like a check), while the credit card payment is instant.
Why would you try to connect 2 enderchests on the same pyramid? -sounds kinda pointless.
FYI- you'll want minimum of 2 pyramids for enderchesting to be effective, with chests placed on the same pyramid level.

I didn't know how it worked, i would of never figured out that you have to place the chests on the pyramid itself, thanks for telling me this. From reading the description i thought there would be some sort of gui inside a chest where you select a frequency for the chest w. 1 pyramid per world, nether, & end.

Time spent looking to GUIs is time spent not playing. Block placement, on the other hand...
The upgrade to Hardcore Darkness is simply amazing. I was really caught off-guard It was a beautiful death. I regret nothing, except perhaps that I can't experience it more often
I have played this mod for a long time, but I think recent updates have kind of, well, as odd as it may sound, led this mod in the wrong direction. The original mod was pretty much an expansion to Minecraft, which I played and loved for months. Recently though, the hardcore updates have made this less "fun" to play with my family & friends as they do not understand what to do and usually rage quit within an hour.
In other words, I miss the old Better Than Wolves when you could have the fantastic features of BTW alongside the basic mechanics of minecraft, making it Win-Win for the non-hardcore player.
I fully support the idea of making a configurable extension for this mod to adjust it to more casual players.
OR
Making a mod archive for this mod, so that we can download old versions.
Now, I know you're saying "You can just go to the old posts he has links there..." folks, please. Hear me out. The old downloads are set to private, with the exception of some patches. (LOL, yes. Don't think I missed those.) Do you guys agree or disagree? Either way, thank you for reading this.
(P.S. I love the hardcore updates, but the only reason I'm writing this is so that I can play it in a more casual situation, like with friends.)
Sounds like everything's working as intended, unless the mystery meat was in your inventory when you died.

Because the hardcore(ness?) of the darkness just got buffed.
Because when Flowerchild buffs things, he adds the +1 hardcore buff.

Just put out a small 'b' version with the following change based on my own play testing:
-Fixed a problem where the game would sometimes consider you to be in Gloom when you shouldn't have been.

Download links in the OP and release post have also been updated.
