I've been having some troubles installing the newest version. Whenever I try to drag the files into my Jar file, the Jar is replaced with a file called _RZI.### where the #'s are a random digit.
! Cannot rename __rzi_0.277 to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\versions\1.5.2_BTW\1.5.2_BTW.jar
Access is denied.
It seems to happen even when I don't have the jar file actually open in winrar, and I never try to add things to it while MC is running. Perhaps I should try doing the patchwork in another location just in case it's some weird permissions thing?
EDIT: doing the patching of the Jar in a separate location other than the .Minecraft folder seems to have fixed it. Yet another one of Windows 8's quirks.
Hey, i need help please. i really like this mod but is there's a way to remove all the hardcore things? i mean like wooden pickaxes 1 hit break and it take ages to break wood
I think its a dessert item.
They have a slightly different use.

Of a long dead dream, little demon awake
The citizens sleep, never quite knowing when
The device will reawaken, hungry again.
They're supposed to give you more fat or something aren't they?
On a unrelated thought, I have found that wicker makes a very nice and cheap building material once you get a decent sugarcane farm going, and you don't even need to use tools to make them.

There is a hidden cost;
Unless you have an iron axe, doing thats going to destroy your food supply.

Um... would a stone axe work? Anyways, I don't think breaking sugarcane was that bad... is it the breaking wicker part that destroys my food supplies?
Breaking a block uses up hunger, gathering a lot of sugar cane means breaking a lot of blocks, so it follows making wicker means using a lot of hunger. Iron Axes to help balance them out cause no food penalty for hacking down vegetation.

You can break down 2 sugarcane for the price of 1, so i don't think it's that bad actually. It also depends on the level of progress. Once you have a decent farm of any (edible) kind, you can pretty much pay the cost. Even if you're eating seeds.
uh... there really is no use, as confirmed by the btw wiki as well: http://sargunster.com/btw/index.php?title=Ancient_Manuscript
I'll confirm it as well. The manuscripts are intended for the end-game content of BTW, which is not yet in the mod.

it is, it's just not being ported to new versions
