So I have a strange problem between Optifine and Mo Creatures. Whenever I have these two mods going together at the same time the insects in Mo Creatures spawn like crazy. They do not move and will not die, nor will any other Mo Creature mobs spawn because my world is filled with bugs.

When using A5 HD Ultra for 1.8 it was working fine however it is now causing problems when trying to load realms; I'm assuming Mojang changed something. If it helps, I'd be willing to add you to my realm to help sort this one out, tweet me @MGH7531 if so.
When using connected textures the resource pack is ignored and connected textures only work in default; I use Faithful 32x and it has been compatible in the past and this is only a bug assuming that it still should be.
Like people before you, its because Mojang releases tiny updates that the Optifine version can't update too. To fix you need to select your Vanilla profile, load it and wait for it to download the files. Test if you want to see if Realms works. Then close, reinstall optifine (with the .jar.) Load the Optifine profile and test it out. You should now be able to use Optifine on Realms.
If you don't want to do this every time an update comes out, you can use a launcher that loads mods after it downloads updates. MultiMC is a good one I use regularly.
The 1.8 version have a little... delay when breaking blocks and it's very annoying :/ ...
Also the camera.. it runs a bit weird.. Fraps is marking always 90-120 FPS but the camera when i move it, it likes.. slow itself for a bit sometimes, idk how to explain it D: ... is it fixable?
Anyway, thanks, finally i can play <3 without Optifine i wasn't able to play, it ALWAYS slows itself and it was impossible to play <3
This will be just a rant (positive in case you wonder), which I am posting mostly because of all the hate for the mod around that conflicts with my positive opinion of it.
First and foremost I have to throw out there this one thing: Yes Optifine can be gamebreaking. I am not sure if it can mess with saves but it can mess with graphics, crash your game and make you want to cry. Having said the only negative I have to say, which for some might amount to "That is all I want to hear!", I want to point out why the mod is just awesome even with that.
There has been no other mod out there, for me, that can even closely help my computer play minecraft heavily modded with so little to no lag. Of course nowadays mods like FPSPlus and Fastcraft are around, but even with them I just do not get the same outcome that Optifine gives. sp614x, no matter the reasons he released and updates the mod, is actually giving to people that normally can't play a modded or heavily modded minecraft, the ability to do so. Usually when it comes to large modpacks, when something goes wrong with the pack and optifine is mentioned, the first solution is to remove that. I bet if you have a strong machine you probably do not care for optifine, but it is impossible for others.
I can accept how Optifine can actually be the reason many mods crash or glitches appear, the the question for the people that can't do otherwise is: Can you do something about it? Ever since I started using Optifine I have enjoyed hours, upon hours, upon hours of lag free gameplay, which normally would be impossible. The reason I know is that I almsot always forget to add optifine when I start playing minecraft after sometime and my game is all laggy from all the mods and it takes a moment for me to think "Why this time the game is so slow?".
I do not remember the version, but I remember that at a point the portalgun mod, which I have to say it is a mod I used almost as soon as it came out till 1.6 that it worked on, I have used always without a fail for fast traveling. It has been one of my main mods and after a lot of trial and error I came to the conclusion that in conjunction with optifine it was messing the graphics of the mod to the point eventually my game would crash. I was totally upset and unhappy, but not at the people working on either if these mods, as much as the inability to use them. I turned off portal gun and after a QUITE long time (I think it was versions after, but I can't remember) I finally was able to use them together. The logical solution I was given everywhere was: Turn off Optifine. This was though impossible except if I took off a ton of mods leaving only some so my computer could handle them.
I do not know or care if sp614x is messing up the code of the game badly, or the cause of the crashes in mainly his fault or whatnot. I know that I have used this mod for absolutely free for a VERY long time and I still use it and enjoy it's power. He keeps fixing or trying to fix compatibility with mods even if none of them suggest the mod anymore. This has and is one of the best mods around and if you add the "You get what you paid for!" is brought into the whole picture, then Optifine is like finding a treasure chest, since even if it has some lead items in the chest there are a lot of gold ones too and again it is FREE!
TL:DR
Optifine is one of the best mods around that might comes with it's negatives but the positives are golden. Thank you sp614x for always providing us with upgrades and making the game playable for the people that normally would be able to enjoy the game modded, by watching videos on youtube.

So, Optifine 1.8 is around 90% done? I am glad to know it will be available soon. My computer of course has strong graphics and other components, but it always helps when I try to run textures at crazy resolutions like 1024x1024, especially if I enable any kind of shaders.
Without the help of Optifine, my computer might have already exploded under the weight of shaders and high res textures.

Hoping this hasn't been answered already so I won't have to get yelled at, but...
Anyone have advice on getting optifine to play nice with other mods? It seems to make some blocks invisible from several different mods on my instance and I don't know how to fix the problem. Tried turning off connected textures since that has worked in the past, no luck.
I could just use fastcraft to deal with performance issues but I also want to play using JSTR in all its glory and unfortunately vanilla still doesn't support custom colors or skies.
It never used to do this, but I guess something changed in 1.7.10?
Edit: also I tried with the default ttexture pack as well, same issue. Uninstalling optifine with my texture pack fixed the invisible problem but made my game look less nice.

Optifine for 1.8 is already available, just not fully complete yet. As you can clearly see in the first post, you can download the A5 version. It works absolutely fine in 1.8, it just hasn't got all the features fully functional yet.

I was using 1235, downgrading on a test instance seems to have worked but I think I broke my primary instance in my attempts at fixing it myself by pressing the "reset video settings" button because now I...well, let's just say the game is unplayable now. I'm not entirely sure how to go about fixing that.

If you say "plz" because it's shorter than "Please," I'll say "No" because it's shorter than "Yes."
Any help would be great.
Quite the bug report.
No.
No.
No.
Why would you say that?

A lot of people rely on OptiFine to play Minecraft. I used to, until I managed to scrape up enough to build a mid-range gaming PC.
I really don't think that's it, These options have worked in the past with noticeable differences.

I thought Minecraft Realms can't work with any mod? Not that I ever tried them much afar from testing with vanilla minecraft.

This is actually the first time I've ever pressed that button, I guess that bug came back as a zombie as a reward for my curiosity.
Guess that's why we shouldn't speak ill of the dead. :V
Seems to be working now, thanks.
Can you not spam this everywhere? I like the video, but posting this on 6 threads is excessive self-promotion.
