Can't say that I've seen the issue either. The only thing that pops out to me in that crashlog is the Forge version. I'm still sitting at 1291, so I'm not sure what kind of impact higher versions may have.
Well my understanding is that - in theory - newer versions of Forge tend to be backwards-compatible with older ones. So using a newer version of Forge shouldn't have a problem... but it's entirely possible that it does, for whatever reason.
If you ever add a config to this mod, can you add some kind of audio config? The sounds become very loud with headphones, even though I know they are meant to be loud.
Also, does anyone know how to create spawners that use these mobs?
If you ever add a config to this mod, can you add some kind of audio config? The sounds become very loud with headphones, even though I know they are meant to be loud.

Well, in code I use something like:
public static void placeSpawner(World world, int x, int y, int z, String mob) {
if(isProtectedBlock(world, x, y, z)) return;
placeBlock(world, x, y, z, spawner);
TileEntityMobSpawner theSpawner = (TileEntityMobSpawner)world.getTileEntity(x, y, z);
theSpawner.func_145881_a().setEntityName(mob);
//world.setBlockMetadataWithNotify(x, y, z, 15, 7);
}
Though func_145881_a() could be different in 1.6 than 1.7.
But the general rule is that spawner don't really hold mobs, they hold names. If the spawner has the correct (unlocalized) name for the mob it should spawn as long as conditions allow it (if the name is wrong the spawner will simply be empty). I don't know how you add mobs outside mods, say for maps, though, but it should be the same as for any mob -- the spawner just holds a character string telling about the entity to be spawned.
Getting the mob name right isn't always obvious; most mod have modid.name for the name, but this just had name (no modid) last I looked, but that was the 3.0.5 for 1.6.4, not the version GnomeWorks release a day or two ago.
I absolutely loved this mod in 1.6.4 and ecstatic it's updated to 1.7.10 with all the diverse and unique mobs . . . But is it compatible (spawn wise) in realistic World Gen
I don't know if this will help, but the full unlocalized name for all the mobs is "entity.dungeonmobs.DM$NAME.name", where $NAME is the name of the mob, first letter of each word capitalized (so a rust monster would be "entity.dungeonmobs.DMRustMonster.name").
I was referring to mainly creating them without the use of mods, such as using commands.
I'm sure its a character string, pure text, either way, since that's what it stores. However, if you need the name of any mob from any mod (or vanilla) Doomlike Dungeons or Just Another Spawner (JAS) can both be used as a utility to get it -- if set in the config Doomlike Dungeons will spit out a list (under its config direcotry/folder) containing every mob in the game with the name Minecraft recognizes; JAS is a little more complicated to explain but that works.
I've never tried making spawners by command, so I can't help you there.
I'm taking this mod... And I'm adding it to my solo "challenge" pack that I'm putting together. It's about time more mods about hostile mobs to increase game difficulty existed.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Currently working on a new project list. Shut down server due to lack of players/time to work on it among other issues. All of my packs are still available of course.
Eh, it's been around since 2011 so I don't think so. He didn't update to 1.7 for some time and I suspect he may when he has free time to update to 1.12 or something.
Not like mods beyond 1.7 are worth using yet.

Every time you demand a mod update to a new minecraft version, mojang kills a modder
So you mean to say there is no sequel or follow up for this one? Its just doomed to be stagnant in 1.7.10? surely someone is working on a rewrite of sorts.

Does this mod have a config file? I'm discovering a crash in a multimc instance that has no distinguishable cause sometime after installing this mod.
Here is the crash (I have fastcraft):
http://pastebin.com/h30ZyANg
Edit: Not a dungeon mobs issue, but, you might want to add a config anyways. Its related to Harvestcraft.

Hmm. That's... interesting.
Is there anyone else getting this problem?

Can't say that I've seen the issue either. The only thing that pops out to me in that crashlog is the Forge version. I'm still sitting at 1291, so I'm not sure what kind of impact higher versions may have.
Well my understanding is that - in theory - newer versions of Forge tend to be backwards-compatible with older ones. So using a newer version of Forge shouldn't have a problem... but it's entirely possible that it does, for whatever reason.
Let me know if any other weird issues crop up.

If you ever add a config to this mod, can you add some kind of audio config? The sounds become very loud with headphones, even though I know they are meant to be loud.
Also, does anyone know how to create spawners that use these mobs?
Well, in code I use something like:
I was referring to mainly creating them without the use of mods, such as using commands.

I will, though the mod I am using is Recurrent Complex.
Also, I am waiting for the other modpack dev to return, to see if it is okay with him to have this mod in the pack.
Due to issues with editing the OP, there is now a new thread.
Dungeon Mobs v4.1.1 is live, and the description of the changes can be found in the new thread.
Mods, please lock this thread at your earliest convenience.

Is this (at least partly) based off of Dungeons and Dragons?
Hello, this mod is awesome in my opinion! And one question: on the config, can disable/enable the spawn of mobs?
I'm taking this mod... And I'm adding it to my solo "challenge" pack that I'm putting together. It's about time more mods about hostile mobs to increase game difficulty existed.
Currently working on a new project list. Shut down server due to lack of players/time to work on it among other issues. All of my packs are still available of course.
Please improved textures and upgrade to 1.8! =D
Me encanta este mod =)
Whenever a cockatrice kills me with keep inventory on, I lose all my items. If I break the statues left behind, they drop nothing. Is this a glitch?
Eh, it's been around since 2011 so I don't think so. He didn't update to 1.7 for some time and I suspect he may when he has free time to update to 1.12 or something.
Not like mods beyond 1.7 are worth using yet.
So you mean to say there is no sequel or follow up for this one? Its just doomed to be stagnant in 1.7.10? surely someone is working on a rewrite of sorts.
